Please, be more specific what is your problem. Maybe you already wrote it partly in other threads, but do not suppose other people will remmber exactly what you wrote someplace else.

Maybe you should try to write step-by-step what are you doing and what is the problem you have. Other people may be then able to show you what are they doing differently from you.

If you write "please help with texturing!", it is very unclear what is the trouble you have and what kind of advice you seek.

hi im helping him skin his airwolf model but before i make the skins for him he needs to know how to apply the textures to his model.

Same goes for our mod, we have some models imported into Oxygen, but when we try to apply the textures on the models there not coming up, we did exactly the same as in the M16 tutorial ( we think so ), but it doesnt seems to work for us. I have no idea what we are doing wrong.

So can someone give us a step-by-step list how applying textures on models works?

    Thanks

There is another thread Kacy made in this forum. I will ask the same question here as I am asking there:

What paths are you using for various files? Where is your O2 located? Where is your viewer (Buldozer)? Where is your texture conversion dll (pal2pac.dll)? Where is your model? Where are your textures? What format and size are your source textures?

no, i can get the texture to work, i dont think its that, my texture folder is in c:/o2viewer/airwolf and the texture shows up, its just all screwed up, i want to know how to make the textureing work, just how to apply a simple texture, all i know of is to select the object, click face properties and choose a file, is there not a selection anywhere to choose anything?

If I undestand you correctly, you can load textures and you can view them, but you do not know how to map them. I am sure a lot of people will be able to help you with this.

    You have following options:

    Use background mapping toolcan

For this you need to load texture into background first (some people say only gifs can be loaded into background). Then you can change background texture position with A key and mouse. After that you select face to be mapped and press B .

    Map using U,V coordinates

You can edit u and v coordinate manually in face properties.

    Map using numerical mapping

There are also several numerical schemes available in Surfaces menu.
