Anyone remember this game?

Anybody ever play a D&D style game called Twilight:2000? How come no one has made a kick ass PC game for it?

Basically the game is set in post-world war 3 world. The opening module you are in Poland (or somewhere else based on your chosen nationality). National armies have broken down and there are just roving bands of former soldiers now. You could be just about any nationality, tailor specific skills (like electronics etc), as well as have specific skills passed on what you were in your army (FO, Artillery, Armor, etc.)

Add-on modules had maps for the US, Middle East, Asia, etc etc. Man I miss that game

Used to play that as well back in the early 80's... along with Gamma World

There was a computer game made by the same title waaaay back when, for the old 286 machines.... came on the 5.25 disks. It was a 3/4 top down view. really neat game at the time.

While we're diggin' up classics, I still play Seal Team once in a while.... wish it would get a facelift and keep the gameplay. Sorry to change the subject.

It would be relatively easy to create a Twilight 2000 campaign using pre-existing addons and a few user made addons and islands. It would all just really be setting the mood through the storyline.

Actually, someone DID make a PC game out of Twilight:2000. Paragon software made this game in 1992.

Gamma World was one of my faves in the mid 80's. By the time my group was done with it though, we could have published our house rules as a new game and TSR probably wouldnt have had a clue it was their game. That's what I like about old RPG's. A thin book of rules and a huge amount of imagination. Versus the current breed of RPG that is more Roll Playing than Role Playing.

I was so in to that game yet had no one to play with other then my cousin who I would see maybe twice a year. So naturally we would go into these marathon play sessions.

Maybe I will work on making a TW2K version out of OFP for myself!

Yes, I do own the original TW2000 PC game, with it&#39;s 5.25 disk and black cover instruction book. Over the summer, I found some "abbandonware" website that has it and DLed it since I don&#39;t have a 5.25 inch floppy anymore. I cant get the game to save my characters, I only could make my army, and play them, but when I turn off the program, all info is lost. One day, I made my 15 man army (you need at least 1 doctor, mechanic, and policeman in order to pass some missions), and I started the game and play 4 or 5 missions, and I go and save it (i use the instruction book i still have with my pen and paper TW2000 stuff) and I go back the next day and all is gone, nothing saved. So be warned, i found problems saving my army of guys, and its makes playing the game all of imposible.

I still have all my books of TW2000, all the guides like the heavy weapons, nato vehicles, soviet vechicles, and many many campaign books, some of which could be use to make some cool OFP missions or even campaigns. Next to CyberPunk, TW2000 is my favorite RPG game.

I used to play the RPG, and the PC game was the first game I bought, along with Dragon Force (I couldn&#39;t find any info for dragon force on the web, all my search results returned some crappy anime type game).
Dragon force was a VGA game where you kitted out your special forces troops with weapons then went on a mission. It was a turn based strategy game.
