Description:
Santa Catalina Island for Arma 3 is an accurate replication of the real world Island located just off the coast of Southern California, USA. The island's only town, Avalon, features traditional American homes and a lovely downtown; made with over 30 unique buildings, objects and textures. Away from the town, you'll find Catalina's chaparral biome makes for interesting and intense battles in its hilly terrain and dense vegetation.

We need new assets because Altis houses, buildings are getting monotone by now.

I hope you can create a different terrain and put your buildings and some of the default ones on a new map. This map is like a Greek island with American buildings on it :)

Impressive, especially the new assets. Tend to agree with Nikiforos, as much as the terrain is very well done (really, excellent blending on the satmap/middetail/surfaces) it would be even better to see these buildings in a leafier, flatter landscape.

California looks an awful lot like Greece, so a lot of the vegetation assets from the vanilla game work here. Luckily I am planning on making a new terrain that will also be set in America, and I hope to make it look a lot different from Greece. I am always open to suggestions though.

And yeah, California has a Mediterranean climate, that's why its flora looks a lot like the Mediterranean, same as South-East Australia, that's also why the vineyards and stuff.

Just tried it out and I have to say this map is brilliant, love all the custom assets.

One thing I noticed was that when I was standing on the hills looking down on the town there was some surfaces having Z-fighting, not sure how fixable that is.

I see Catalina almost every day from where I live. I've been to Catalina several times, this is a nice map, but the buildings and streets on Avalon look nothing like that, also it would be great if you could add the casino.

Sadly don´t have to say much more about the island other than: it made me start up arma3 for once, which is weird :D

love the attention to detail you've put into the map I agree the casino would be a nice addition to the island also have you considered including some diving locations off the coast

GotDead great job with the map. Would you allow me to use SC building assets to complete my Keystone, USA map? Lack of buildings such as these so far prevented me from finishing it.
