Arma - first time setup (problem) (wont install)

having just downloaded Arma - gold edition from steam

installed the game, no problems at all

when trying to click "play"

the game says "first time setup"(1 of 2)

then closes the program and exits without anything happening

could someone please help me

i have already emailed the support team but as it is sunday...will not get a response

Did u run the game via steam/library or did u use an desk top icon installed? Maybe try running game thru steam, let it do it's thing. Also problem i had in the past but maybe is differnt but might be worth trying is here.....

1.Also maybe try a(steam) repair.

2.Goto your steam folder, open steamapps,ArmA right click the ArmA exec an send to desktop than maybe try running the game(as administrator) that way if you had'nt already. Hope this helps.

Note....sometimes the install seems to hang but it's still compiling installing, thats why I always run the game thru steam first than add the desktop icon later an re-run as administrator.
