Kernel power shutdown and restart while playing ArmA3

Recommended Posts

In the past week, I've gotten several Kernel power crashes while playing ArmA3, where my PC would shut down and then restart.

I monitored and logged my stats with Open Hardware Monitor and set a warning for CPU overheating at 70°C, but it never went off. PSU voltage remained unchanged at the point in the log where my PC shut down.

I ran one pass on memory test that returned no errors.

This only happens when I play on the Comrades in Arms server running ArmA3 with several addons.

Addons that I ran are listed here.

edit: also happens while playing vanilla ArmA3.

Yeah, it looked to be overheating due to dust. All fine now.

Actually, that wasn't the case. By the looks of it, PSU was on it's way out and I replaced it with a new one.
