really really really nice vehicles!

anyway why are the textures so extremely dull, whats up with the rvmats?

its not just the textures themself (im quite ok with the resolution, its not a huge downer for me), though there is something about the BWmod textures in general, i guess it was some artistic decision or something but all the vehicles lack specualarity and that makes the stick out among all the other vehicles available for arma 3 and its like they a have a layer of homogenously spread white dust covering them completely, im just wondering whats is about?

e.g.

or this: the texture itself is really great with all the mud and details and stuff it just looks so dull for some reason, what is that about?

i mean, the textures and models are really great, they fit arma 3 standards very well, its just the rvmat that seems somehow not right to me?

kind of the same effect with the dingos (at least its consistent throughout the faction ;))

Its for the "USED", im mean look at Cars that standed to long in the Sun, their color is slightly faded and thats what the BWmod textures trying to catch with this "white dust" ;)

like this one for example.

you make a very good example, even used and dusty vehicles have specularity, you can see it very well in your photo.

even in dusty or overcast conditions there are allways some relections from the paint remaining...

Schuetzenpanzer-Puma-729x486-f541c96755587347.jpg

vanilla vehicles have it:

as well as user made:

im not argueing against artistic decisions im just wondering what its about.

Is there any chance of a standalone version for groups that do not use the BWMod?

in regards to a standalone version. not offically planned right now, but you can do it on your own.

it should work if you open the addon with pbo manager and edit the config.cpp

you have to replace the:

faction

crew

typicalCargo

class TransportWeapons

class TransportMagazines

vehicleClass

entries to vanilla arma 3 stuff to remove the BWMOD requierment.

sure no problem ;)

so does that mean the nonspecularity of the vehicles is the "official look" of the faction?

You do realise, before opening up anyones addon you need to ask permission.

§19) Posting addon/mod other content without permission

For many years this community has been known as the premium addon/mod creating community, people work tirelessly and in great detail to create fantastic addons/mods/missions/campaigns to release for free so that everyone benefits, including Bohemia Interactive. There are a few simple rules in place to provide the respect to these creative people/groups that they deserve:

The first and most fundamental rule is that you must seek permission to alter someone's work, to mirror it or use it in any way other than for personal use. No permission, no editing, no mirroring, no adding to your mod pack, no editing and sharing around your private squad, none of that is acceptable.

Obviously we cannot unfortunately control what people do outside of these forums, however on these forums you must follow this rule, if a person/team post a thread to share an addon/mod using content from someone else without permission and we receive a complaint then the mod thread will be closed until the issue is resolved and the forum member(s) risks being permanently banned from these forums for taking someone's work without permission.

This isn't just limited to re-using content in addons/mods/missions however, it's not acceptable to edit someone's work without permission and then to post screenshots of it on the forums (even if the edited addon/mod is purely for personal use), it's also not acceptable to edit someone's work, or use someone's work in any way that you don't have permission for and then to create videos which you post on these forums, doing any of the above without the permission of the original creators risks a permanent ban, for individuals, for whole mod teams or squads.

These Files are missing in the pbo, or you forget to remove the entrys from the config. Dont know if this error was also in your first release. If i remember right, there where rvmat Files in the pbo

Stevoo4552, could you please lower the position of the driver? Because the head of the driver is higher than the left window, the field of vision is very limited.

Anyway, great work!
