FRL_Air

will be a simple mod that retraces the proxies on main stock aircraft, enabling use of a full range of suitable racks, fuel tanks and rocketpods on each aircraft

ok we're working on two cobras -

the AH1W SuperCobra (max 8 TOW/hellfire, 8 zuni, 2 aim9, max 52 hydra, no wingtip missiles) and

the AH1Z Viper (max 16 hellfire missiles + 2 aim9, max 76 hydra)

+ AGM122 ARM

+ AGM114N thermobaric hellfire

+ AIM92 stinger for apache longbow

Would be great if you would add some sort of Helmet Aiming System,like Mando Missiles-we want type auto-lock sytem,that makes "snapp-shot" attacks possible.

We would like some system simulation-like Stand Off Missiles,with build in steering and navigation and maybe torpedos for hellis working.

Gunpods that could be shifted from ,say a F4 Phantom (Suu23 Mini-Gun pod ) to say,onto F-16 .

I like to see some fantastic FX applied to gunpods/airborne guns.

did you try the mod yet?

gunpods we have, and they some fx like shelldrop fx on each cannon, but cannot have muzzleflash and gas clouds unless we make them as hiddenselections, and currently i dont have the modeling capacity in the team to make this in the aircraft, like pook did in the cobra in unsung 2.6, but maybe someday... meanwhile we have the pods, and they can be put on the aircraft and used, though they only fire from the one memory point for now.

we have stand-off missiles like the AGM154, with GPS/INS locking feature. Also a range of JDAMs with fold-out wings, and some cruise missiles for remote strike up to 10km in arma.

we have right click aiming for gunship pilots in a solo flown 2 seater (thanks to heinbloed) but no way to store targets at present, so you have to manually lock each one and fire on it, though you need not keep it locked after firing, unless its a SACLOS missile or self-laser-designated target. however if a FAC paints a target with his laser, you can pop up and lock it, then sit below the hill and pop up and hit it.

regarding torpedoes - mando gives you that already, and it's not something we will get into yet.

ok 8 of each super cobra and viper completed - desert and jungle reskins to do next, plus HUD

couple of models to tweak tomorrow - AGM122 texture and some autocentering on hellfires/ LAU59 pods.

ok massive thanks to John Spartan and his crew for this: ready made pylons for the F35/A

we now have an F35/A with full potential bomb load of 10 pylons and up to 12 brimstone, 24 SDB and so on... although not putting that kind of load on it - see spreadsheet for more info

anyway thanks pete for the model config and i did the plane vecconfig and adapted mykes and my weaponry for it... 10 versions on their way tomorrow.

then harrier and A10 model.cfgs done and ready to start on them next...

yeah the scale is now correct - earlier we had it too small. on the helicopters they do tend to use versions without the aerodynamic cone at the front, which is why it looks so long c.w with UB8 (i.e. on the su25 the UB8 has a long cone on it) but the length and width are bang-on to scale!

Introducing "Bombs-a-gogo" a fine specimen of aerial tomfoolery brought out of the workshop this morning just to see if we could get all the munitions to line up properly...
