Grouping units to myself if I'm both Zeus and a Player.

I created a mission in which I can spawn as a soldier on the ground and have access to the ZEUS interface at the same time. What I'd like to do is to be able to create friendly units with ZEUS and then have those units join my soldier character as a group, but this does not seem possible. Whenever I drag a line from the friendly AI to my own player character nothing happens. But if I try to group a friendly AI to a friendly human player that works. So I can group an AI to another human player, but I cant group an AI to myself at all?

You can do it in the map editor if you pre-group you and whatever you want to command. As for acutly doing it in Zues I can only think of it in terms of a scripted event.
