Tyco's USMC Reskins

Version 2.0 available below!

This is a simple reskin package I have made up for use over on the SimHQ server and I just thought I would share it over here. The pack includes reskins in both desert and woodland marpat as well as a reskin for the Marshall, which I have renamed the MPC-25 Havoc. I have included default loadouts balanced for a good mix of realism and gameplay. Time permitting I will be updating this pack with new classes and units.

Installation:

Same as always, unzip and use modfolder.

Looks like the NB USMC team isnt the only one using the Marshalls USMC designation, except they spell it HAVOC, not HAVOK, i belive HAVOK is the Mi-28 still

Really good, except they use new vests which offer no protection. Please give them standard NATO vests from the game.

Hey man. Scrolling through different configs I failed to see what is responsible for the fact that some of them work and some don't. Could You please enlighten me, what's the deal? What makes vest offer protection and what does not? We could fix a lot of addons if we knew.

In the old alpha/early beta build I believe the "Armor" was done with multiplying a float, Ex. "armor = "5*0.5";" or 5 x 0.5

Holy Necrothread Batman!

Ive got an update in the works that I am hoping to push out next week sometime. I have done a complete overhaul of the camo, which I think is much better than the first version. I have also optimized loadouts keeping weight in mind as well as added a combat engineer class. If there is interest I may do up some Force Recon type loadouts but I am undecided as of yet.

This is awesome! Only gripe is that SAW gunners don't have any optics, typically the M4 is carried vice the M16 these days and none of the units have NVG's.

I like it though, much lower profile than the other USMC mods that feel the need to include 50 different unit designations for the same 8 Marines..

NVGs are in the inventory and M16A4 are still standard issue for Marines not the M4. The M4 is only for officers and situations where a fill length M16 would be a hindrance ie. vehicle crews.

Are you a Marine?

If you are infantry and forward deployed there's a 95% chance you are carrying an M4 vice the M16A4. This is not 2009 anymore. A4's largely go to non-infantry and reserve units now.
