Importing arma 2 content to ArmA 1

I was just wondering if it was possible for some addons preferably Islands could transfer from ArmA 2 to ArmA because i would really like a map like Sangin or Helmand but i do not have the time to create it myself due to school and what not. I like the Afghan Village island but its just to small for me.

You wouldn't be able to back port addon from A2 to A1 as there are difference between the games. Also you would need the correct permissions from the addon makers. As a suggestion, i would look at purchasing A2/A3 as its a more up-to-date game engine
