@A3CM - ArmA 3 Chernarus Mod

I had many PM's so i decide to make this thread before release. As few of you already know, soon will be released A3CM mod ( http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?169582-Chernarus-port-from-samples )

Basic information

- Mod includes Chernarus and Utes with HD textures.

- Mod has 0 popup errors.

- Mod is fully working with ArmA 3.

- Mod have implemented A3 lighting and sky (thx to kju and AiA)

- I have full permision from BI

- Mod today run closed tests before release.

Thx to great contact with BI Devs, today i spend night on optimizing hole mod. Mby i give you small update after few days. By the way, sorry for my not perfect english :-)

How its going:

- Utes - ported without any errors, also Carrier works fine ( no ghost object )

- Chernarus - ported without any errors, there is 2 objects without textures at this moment ( Tank statue in Cherno and Wrecked Kamaz on north - fix today )

- Desert - ported without any errors

- Takistan - ported without many errors. There'r some 'no-texture' errors, i will fix this tonight.

- Zargabad - ported without any errors.

- Lighting on maps is the same as in AiA ( Thx to .kju and Fabio )

- There is no desync problem in multiplayer ( In few days we will test it on 40 coop missions )

- Mod .rar'ed weighs 4,5 Gb Unrar'ed 5,3 at this point. I talked with Bi devs, today i will optimize overall weigh :)

- This is standalone mod, you dont need anything to play on A2 maps. Just download, put in A3 and go go go :)

- Im going to add .keys to give option to use it in public MP ( Takistan Life on A3 :3 )

Okay guys we'r rly close :) I signed mod with keys, so i hope we will saw soon new Life/Domi/Wasteland modes on old style maps. Here i give you few last tech screens:

Im still trying to eliminate few little bugs, but i will handle them easy tonight. I need also good hosting for 2 parts of this mod ( Does Armaholic support download files? )

Nice but on your first pick it's seems to be very bright. Is it possible to tweak the lighting?

Have you thought of combining both maps into 1 to form South Zagoria? I reckon that would be a great idea!

But maybe it is already in, you said that Mod have implemented A3 lighting and sky.

Anyway, I am really exited about this, because I love Chernarus and I also can't wait for ASM, so keep up in good work!

So it is actually happening, we are getting all the old content + the new features and content into the same game. :eek:

Very excited to see this.

Even with AiA being easy to use, many users are still put off by the "complications" of running it

This just simplifies everything :)

Combining - maps sounds a Brilliant way to add value above and Beyond anything else THAT is very exciting.

For instance think of all the excellent Takistan style maps stitched together to form one giant Asian battle field ... Wow

He maybe able to upgrade maps from Arma1/2 but he needs to have the appropriate permissions in place from all authors.

Now we've got all the files available to I assume edit Chenaurus? I'd love to see a winter version with snow/ice etc!

Will you also port the full content of ArmA 2 (units, vehicles...) within this mod? Would be awesome mate :)

+1 for the brightness issue. Hope you can also keep the original sounds and weather of ArmA 2 Chernarus.

I for one also hope you'll be stitching Utes map and Chernarus map together.

As far as I know, Utes lies about 25/30 km due south of Skalisty Island, as can be seen here: http://img341.imageshack.us/img341/1958/greensearegionstage2pla.jpg

But the distance could be shortened to about 10km max, so one can view both shorelines from standing on either Utes or Chernarus itself.. Would be great if possible, and practicable. :)
