long range and short range missile

Well first that I find strange is the cas airplane have a short range aa missile (is not only aa because can lock on ground too)

But AA airplane have long range (that cannot lock on ground) and that is the only difference,

I was thinking, maybe in change the name of short range missile... for another .(I don't know any missile that work for both air-air, and air-ground)

Also the long range is indeed a short range missile (because it only looks on visual range)

Did anyone know how,and where I can see, target distance, damage, etc of the missiles? (weapons bombs etc too)

Edit: just a random fact AA missile is weak, don't to much damage against armored ground targets
