i simply hope this one won't be like the CDC .....
the bridge to short for the hawkeyes , broken propulsors , problems with floating ..... hopefully everything has been rectified

Problems with floating are always bad for surface ships.

true ... true ... but it's fixed now , you know , you can do miracles with some bits of shaterton

Cool! The Canadian government just approved funding for a battleship!
-
You know, by shooting that gun, you'd probably go backwards faster than you'd go forward with that little outboard.

yeah Die alive's point is correct. anyone ever tried to cross the river in Nogova, next to bridge by shooting sabots backwards?

No, but I did try to fly across the river by getting shot with a sabot from a T-80. I just couldn't get make it, kept flying in the wrong direction. I once flew over 180m by getting hit from a shilka, and i checked my before and after positions on the map, it was over a grid square away.

Well, I am in a great doubt about cleverness of this decision.
The fact is that the actual French navy do not have enough modern ships to make a taskforce for the first CV. Maybe one of the reasons why the second won't be a nuclear one.
We do not have enough money to give the Charles de Gaulle ***an airgroup in reasonnable time, and we are speaking of a second CV ? Oh no, it's too dramatic too be funny.
So making a second CV.... and what for ? Are our strategics needs for exporting air force far away ? French, European politics and strategy is not the one of the United States...Do we need that CV ? alone in the see without any modern surface vesssel ? And planes ?
Or Is it a deal with rest of europe ? => we do a second CV, the british do the same, and for the rest, like army and air force, we'll count on Germans, Italians and others ?? ( by the way...the Italian navy is made of brands new ships, and of excellent feature, but not able to make a task force for long time missions ). Errr..... the european common defense is for politices and technical reasons a dream, and for many years it will still be.
Army, tanks and many others weapons needs money, it's urgent...and we'll spend so much for a unusefull CV ??
It is surely not a very fine idea, I believe the government cracked under some lobbys pressure..., their dreams are too big and on the wrong way for the French strategic's place, and finally politics peoples are not professionnals for many subjects, they are just politics. And men would should enlight them...they think about their personnal carreers, not about pertinents right things for the nation.
