Background story:

June 1991 - the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia dissolves. Chernarus is among the countries that seceded. Conflicts between adherents of the Orthodox Church and muslim minorities begins shortly thereafter. The army is disbanding, the government practically doesn't exist, fighting has been going on for eight long years.

July 1999 - Russian peacekeeping forces RFOR enter the country. Their task, under the auspices of NATO, is similar to that of KFOR in neighbouring Kosovo - to supervise the distribution of humanitarian assistance and to resolve security issues. They haven't been successful so far. Citizens of the country perceive the presence of Russian forces as an invasion. Past differences have been put aside, sworn enemies have become allies for one sole purpose - to drive the intruders out of their country.

September 28th, 1999 - first incident between RFOR and a newly formed CDF occurred. Two Russian soldiers died on the spot. RFOR isn't equipped for a large-scale military operation therefore they decide to withdraw all remaining forces to the only airport in the country. Resolution 1244, that was released during an emergency NATO meeting, allows Russia to send more troops and equipment to the country. Few days later, first troops enter Chernarus and participate in the largest Russian military operation since Afghanistan...

Hi.

It's looking good.

3 questions though:

What is it about / what is the story?

In which langage will the campaign be available?

Which mods / addons are needed?

It is difficult to say something about the story campaign, because the story and atmosphere of the film will be the alpha and omega of the campaign. The campaign will be available in Czech (subtitles and dubbing) and English (subtitles). There will be no addons and mods except editorupdate a few minor addons created by us directly to the needs of the campaign. The campaign is created for ArmA version 1.11

Ok, thanks for the answers, but can you explain the last thing you wrote please?

The campaign is for ArmA 2, not ArmA 1, so it must be for ArmA 2 v.1.62, not v.1.11, right?

Arma 2 OA/CO is 1.62.

BTW, will it be infantry only?

Will there be missions in which we are led, or will we only be the leader?

And are there other missions/campaigns from you?

Congrats on the release - can't wait to try it this week!

Quick question-- for those excellent teaser videos and launch trailer, how are you achieving that really cool-looking camera shake effect? I've been looking for a while to no avail, but just I now found the addCamShake command. Is this how it's done? I should just commit the entire com ref to memory...

No, it´s not any command. It is made through first person view. Just man without weapon, and little shaking with mouse. I am not sure if this is the right way how do that. But it´s usable..

Having problem getting the mission to show up in Camp or Scenario:

Extracted file. Renamed it @sgs, placed in main BIS directory and put in parameter. Using Launcher. Nothing.

C/P file "SgS_TheMemory" into Campaigns folder. Nothing

C/P file "SgS_TheMemory into Scenarios Missions folder. Nothing

So, looks like your ReadMe is going to need more instructions and please also add it to your first post.

Kommiekat, the file installs just like an addon. Once installed it it shows on the campaigns list.

Not showing up in my Campaigns.

Did you do @sgs or just sgs. He doesn't explain that aspect.

EDIT:

Fixed. I forgot to check the Addons/Mod box for the Launcher..............how silly of me, again..:butbut:

Just finished it in one run. Last time it happened with Razor 2 and Eagle Wing. Absolute attention to detail, super done cut scenes. Just... Thank you for this marvelous work. Donate is sure, just next month. Already "donated" this month game budget to Take on Mars.
