W39_vehicles pre-alpha WIP teaser (SEPTEMBER 1939 MOD)

Recommended Posts

Same as with the infantry units earlier today I decided (after a request) to release a small preview of the vehicles W39 hopes to be including.

Open-bed and refuel versions of Fiat621L "Tur" for Poland + Phaenomen Granit 25 ambulance for Germany.

Again, this is straight from my hard drive, merely a WIP, so be warned that not everything is fully functional.

Yet, wheels are turning, dampers are working, AI knows how to mount and drive. Sufficient to be used for some quick fun in the editor along with the grunts or for screenshots. Known issues? not all sounds are there and the German car is missing cargo-view shadowLOD, plus cargo-view proxies, front wheels have a shadowLOD error yet to be fixed... Threre's also some flickering in the random registry plates on the Polish truck and probably some other issues, but rather minor. Hey, it's an unfinished WIP, don't expect more ;)

I'm no cfg specialist and what I did was just to delete the models and textures I don't want to give away yet, binarized and packed. Hence, you'll find a full list of all current W39 vehicles in the editor. Sorry for confusion.

Also, place the cars as empty in the editor to avoid error messages and enable them to load properly. What's released today you'll find in:

empty -> w39_pojazdy -> PF621L "Tur" Open

empty -> w39_Zaopatrzenie -> Phaenomen sanitarka + Woz z paliwem

I love the texturing work, brilliant as usual. I think that the door opening is a great addition, is it done through "hiddenselections setobjecttextures" or animations ? If it's an animation, it would be nice to slow it down.

It's animation - and thanks, I will take this advice into account, thank you.
