hi, did anyone solved the problem with firing range? i mean during selection, when shooting them, i hit them, but they don't fall and they aren't counted as hit. i'm very into this campaign, but i'm unhappily stucked at the very start...

Sorry I've had a look but not been able to replicate the problem, all I can say is the normal things. Turn off mods, make sure Arma 2 is patched up to date and redownload the campaign. If all this dose not fix it, do all the 1st mission apart from that bit and just skip the end of the mission with the "endmission" cheat. Google Arma 2 cheats and it will give you the details, hope you don't find any other problems but I'll do my best if you do.

You may find this is with the Arma 2 drag function, you need to be right over him and be looking down, you need to be closer than to get to his gear for some reason. I feel I keep saying this a lot but its a known problem with the core Arma 2 scripts and there is not much I can do about it. Move forward and backwards and side to side and it should come up. If not... then I have no idea sorry, I will have a look into it.

I have an error that showed up in most missions (all of those using artillery):

>
 Error Undefined variable in expression: _firedtime
File ca\modules\ARTY\data\scripts\ARTY_shellMonitor.sqf, line 95
Error in expression <shell;
_elapsedTime = time - _firedTime;
_alt = _shellPos select 2;

>
 Error position: <_firedTime;
_alt = _shellPos select 2;

>
 Error Undefined variable in expression: _firedtime

Error in expression <shell;
_elapsedTime = time - _firedTime;
_alt = _shellPos select 2;

>
 Error position: <_firedTime;
_alt = _shellPos select 2;

The worst is Uprising (so far); after about 4 minutes of playing, the .rpt file has ~15,000 of these messages. (The file has ~150,000 lines of text). The mission is pretty much unplayable at this point; logging disrupts the game so much that it starts lagging and I get about 5-10 frames per second.

Is there a fix for this? I believe I have version 0.4 of the campaign.

Great campaingn, by the way, I'd love to finish it.

^^^^^

Just ENDMISSION with Keys:

Shift + ALT + numeric -

then type.......endmission

That way, you can still play the campaign minus that mission........

@Kommiekat

its LShift together with numeric "-", (Without Alt) and then "endmission"

Also he can use in campaign menu cheat "campaign".

After this cheat we have list of all missions in campaign.

Just ENDMISSION with Keys:

Kommiekat and tom3kb: thank you, I knew about those; I was asking about an actual fix. :) A few minutes after posting (after a bunch of 30-second sessions during which the game ran acceptably) I managed to deal with the artillery and after that the mission started working fine.

RMCW: this campaign was very well done both technically and in terms of story. Thank you, I'm looking forward for more campaigns / missions from you.

I really wanted to thank who created this campaign. This is better than most of the game campaigns.

Excellent work!

Played this today for many hours and enjoyed them alot. The custom arty, medevac and air support scripts/functions makes this really interesting.

Good work!

Ha, looks like I unearthed a gemstone while following a retro-urge to play ArmA2.

I played the first mission: Selection this evening and its attention to detail is simply stunning - I am a long term player of BI games since 2001 and I wouldn't bet a box of beer on having played a more boot-camp-detailed-mission yet. Unfortunately I had to use the endmission cheat because I cannot find target #15 in the combat village, but I absolutely love the artillery spotting, and all the other details which I won't spoil any further.

The second mission: Training is short and simple in comparison. But without spoiling anything I can say that it is bug-free and the voice-overs still show how much love even went into this small mission.

The third mission: Day 1 - Deployment  features one of these timed shootings again that I am not too fond of, but I could beat it at last - then there is some low intensitiy combat to accustom the player to the deployment. Well executed classic "first battle".

The fourth mission: Day 21 - Contact is a slight escalation over the third one, with FAC/arty spotting included and some more fighting. I love how I can put my skills learned in training to good use in the missions. The only little bug is a non-checked-off "Transport" objective, but the mission ends anyway.

ifth

The fifth mission: Day 22 - Fortification is a rather less action mission but the tasks at hand feel pretty realistic.

The sixth mission: Day 31 - patrol features a realistic patrol which made it necessary to call in a medevac. This campaign really feels like the exploits of an ordinary soldier!

The seventh mission: Day 37 - Roadblock turns out to be incredibly hard towards the end - I ended the mission rolling around on the ground, with my last squadmate standing tending to my wounds while Apaches cleared out the enemy - more just out of luck I was able to complete this mission.

The eighth mission: Day 42 - Shura contains a bug. I escort an officer to a meeting, and predictably, the meeting is interrupted by hostile enemy contact that can only be dealt with using air support. But after the air support, nothing happens for more than 15 mins so I have to skip this mission.

The ninth mission: Day 49 is the first one I write a negative review about. I still fail to take the first objective but this is only due to the enemy having superior hitting skills WITHOUT NVGs! This throws immersion totally out of the window and is exactly the opposite of realism, so after trying to tackle the objective more than 10 times I skipped the mission also.

The 10th mission: Day 56 - Search and Clear is a great mission, but it cannot be ended due to a bug. Compound 336 contains a ammo stash and some static weapons, and while it is easy to blow up the ammo stash, the static weapons are indestructible, which I suspect is the cause of this objective not ticking off and consequently the mission not ending.

The 11th mission: Day 66 - Logistics is also bugged. Objective, once completed, are immediately re-appearing, and conseqently can never be ticked off, with the mission never ending as a result of that.

I just completed the 12th mission: Day 68 - Joint Operations. This one is NOT bugged, but a very difficult mission which plenty of fireworks towards the end. Needs a very cautious and tactical playstyle, but feels even more rewarding once completed.

The 13th misson: Day 75 - Capture is rather fast paced until the last objective which requires cautious playstyle as well. No bugs spotted and well executed piece of work.

The 14th mission: Day 79 - Kill is a clever hide and seek affair at exfiltration and features a rather controversial topic in the first part of the mission. No bugs spotted on this one.

The 15th mission: Day 81 - Uprising is a very long and hard one - but it feels very realistic, right what would you expect in the middle of an uprising.
