[ACE/ACRE] Phantom Incorporated - Recruiting members!

Recommended Posts

phantominc_small21.png

Under the radar, above the law.

Introduction

Phantom Incorporated is a realism unit where we play ArmA 2 (and later ArmA 3).

We strive to have fun, it's our number one goal.

We're a friendly, semi-serious(serious during ops, not serious outside ops) unit that is looking for people that want to join us to have a good time.

We tend to get anywhere from 10-20 members on a mission.

Are you interested? Please keep on reading.

Roles

We do not have have permanent enlisted roles, so you can just join and take a role.

This doesn't apply to a few roles though, e.g. Pilots are required to place a small application on the forums, and show their skill of flight.

And we (usually) do not assign sniper roles to people who are not familiar with ACE's sniping system.

Economy system

During most campaigns we have a money balance and/or budget. This means if we want to buy assets like vehicles, we will pay for them (fictional money).

This also applies for individuals, they have their own seperate balances with which they can buy personal rifles (that are available in-game during most campaign missions), via the forums.

All the balances are resetted each time we start a new campaign (new faction).

Missions

All weekend-missions are custom-made by members of PCI.

Some things to recognize our missions by is that we do not use respawns, instead we use a spectator script upon death.

All of the official missions have a logic story behind them.

Also, the campaign missions all link up (as you would expect them to do) and can thus form a pretty awesome campaign story.

Schedule

We are an international unit with members from both North America as Europe aswell as Asia.

Our operations/missions are scheduled to start around:

Fridays - 7:30pm (19:30) UK time (Co-op or Training, varies)

Saturdays - 7:30pm (19:30) UK time (Campaign)

Sundays - 7:00pm (19:00) UK time (Multiple short TvTs)

As long as you're able to attend at least once a week you're listed as active member.

If you are unable to attend on a week, notify a staff member.

Recruitment requirements

Interested? Do you want to join? Here are a few things we require from you:

-You must be willing to download our mods (we help you doing so and have a collection setup).

-You must be mature, we do not just look at age for this, but it is a factor that contributes.

-You must be 16 years or older, although, exceptions are made.

-You must be able to attend one operation a week, or be able to contact a staff member if not possible.

Fulfill the requirements? Want to join us? Contact us below!

Videos

We have a lot of Youtube videos, click here for the main youtube channel.

Here are a few shorter ones selected:

note: This is a custom minigame where two crooks try to escape from the cops. I'm acting as one in these two sessions.

note: A (techno-)montage of one of our Celle2 mercenary contracts, it didn't go too well!

See you soon!

Mercenaries

Recently there has been a big change in the unit.

No longer are we a PMC unit, the idea people had about PMCs only providing security was bothering us since we in fact did a lot of offensive/covert operations too.

Therefore we now are mercenaries, soldiers of fortune. We do all kind of operations as long as it pays well.

In-game there are not so many changes, we use different skins now (modpack), the missions are no longer legal and our bases are now further away from civilization.

Financing system

We have an unique financing system that adds a little roleplay aspect into the unit.

The unit has a budget and with this budget we are capable of buying new vehicles, weapons and other equipment.

If a purchased vehicle gets destroyed in a mission it will no longer be available in a future mission and thus we have to buy a new one.

The price list has been made up with prices compatible with the money we receive from our missions so that we have to work for our weapons.

Roles

Now that we're recruiting we have a few available roles open for new recruits to fill in.

Available roles:

  • Machinegunner
  • AT Specialist
  • Medic
  • Rifleman(always available)

In the future we might open airborne roles but since we don't have any aircraft yet this is unavailable.

We recently acquired a MH-6 Little Bird and the airborne roles will be opening quite soon.

Interested? Join the Teamspeak server or fill in an application on the website.

Operations

Operation Sandstorm

We were hired by a wealthy oil baron who wanted us to sabotage his competitor.

Updates

  • Acquired an UH-1H Huey
  • Our MH-6 Littlebird has crashed and is no longer available for use.
  • We welcome our newest member: Jenny
  • Unit now has 18 enlisted members, where over 85% are active.
  • New balance of €828.300

Operations

Operation Disconnected Broadcast

We had 2 objectives in this operation, our main objective was to destroy a radio communications center controlled by government forces along with its radar dish.

Our secondary, optional, objective was to raid a field operations base controlled by the Venator Group, a PMC operating in Lingor supporting the government.

We moved out in a convoy of two vehicles, during an ambush the vehicles split up and lost radio contact, the driver and gunner of the first vehicle died, the survivors regrouped with the second vehicle.

The remaining troops headed for the communications center but got themselves in a nasty position and were shortly after overwhelmed by the government forces.

Campaign

Our official co-ops are all linked to one campaign, named 'Lingor Revolution'.

Lingor has been divided into two sides, the communist rebels and the capitalistic government. Leading the rebel forces, one man named Roberto Fortin. On the other side, a dictator named 'El Presidente'.

While both sides fight for power, us mercenaries settle down in Lingor. Soon enough we found ourselves working with the rebels against the dictatorship of El Presidente.

We get to deal with a rival PMC, named 'Venator Group', which is supporting El Presidente. As of 19/06/ the Venator Group has been dismantled due to a raid upon their field operations base.

Later that same day, an assault upon the Presidential Palace ended up in a massacre, due to the overwhelming amount of guards around the area.

However, the 22nd of June, around 23:35, after receiving reliable intelligence upon El Presidente's current hideout, mortar strikes successfully bombed the island where El Presidente was located at, killing El Presidente.

Plans are now to move out of Lingor, emigrating to a different country.

Updates

  • New helicopter purchased; UH-60M Blackhawk.
  • Lingor campaign finished, we have now moved to Reshmaan Province.
  • We welcome our newest member to the unit: Finn.
  • Our unit has now reached a member milestone; 25 members, 80% is currently active.
  • Two joint operations planned, 27th of July and the 11th of August.

Operations

Operation Kicking Dust

Despite being low in numbers and no vital air support available, Operation Kicking Dust was a massive success against the odds.

Team Echo provided excellent support by eliminating flanking enemies and suppression of compounds whilst CQC teams cleared the compounds fighting off many counter attacks and clearing Opfor road blocks.

All forces pushed into the city and destroyed both fuel supplies ensuring Opfor armored forces were unable to operate in that area.

Team Delta disabled vital Opfor air fuel supplies disabling the Opfor air support and future air supplies to that region within Reshmaan.

Campaign

After we aided the rebels take down the government during the Lingor Revolution we moved out.

We took a couple of countries into consideration but after a debate we decided to move to Reshmaan Province.

Reshmaan Province is a rich Afghan province sharing borders with Takistan.

While we moved in Takistan started to invade Reshmaan.

It promises to be an interesting campaign.

Information

Phantom Inc is still operating. We've been busy ever since our last update.

We have already completed another campaign, the Reshmaan campaign, a 10-mission lasting campaign in Reshmaan Province, Afghanistan.

We moved into Reshmaan in the perfect time, a conflict between Reshmaan and the neighboring country Takistan, tensions rose high and Takistan launched an invasion.

A small amount of NATO forces supporting Reshmaan fought against the overwhelming power of Takistan, resulting in a humiliation. The NATO forces were forced to retreat and while all this happened, we operated behind their lines working for civilian contractors. Only after a while we started working together with Takistani forces against the NATO forces, stabbing them in the back (literally sometimes). Because our co-operation with Takistan was under the radar, we had no support from them whatsoever, nor were the main forces friendly to us. Due to the Takistani forces pushing through the country like a bulldozer, we had to leave our base and flee from the country, along with lots of other people.

We hijacked a C130 Hercules from a nearby airbase and took off, ending the campaign in Reshmaan. Due to a pilot's fault the plain crashed, hundreds of miles north of Reshmaan, in a small Finnish island named Thirsk, close to Russia.

The moment we crashed, we got in a gunfight with the Finnish Defense Forces, causing us to become rival to them. So far we have captured a small island south of Thirsk Island and using it as our operating base. While we are planning on what to do, we have to scavenge supplies and try to get some small contracts going with the local population.

Operation Northern Delay

Operation "Northern Delay" was proved to be a success despite the heavy fortification the enemy had in place in a bid to defend it's ammo dump and General Mohallad who fled to the outpost after Operation Kicking Dust.

1.jpg

All teams were inserted by helicopter and had engaged in small fire battles ranging across a mountain area against several militia camps on route to the enemy over watch, a vital position that needed to be over run for this mission to be a success. Delta team managed to take this position out without alerting the enemy compounds in the area of operations.

2.jpg

From the over watch securing the first 3 compounds was done with ease although we met heavy resistance at the most northern compound just across the field from the 3 compounds we secured. After a heavy assault with both Delta and Charlie pinned down in their compounds team Alpha managed to break the line and flank west to attack a blind spot on the compound and eliminating the defenses so Charlie and Delta could also breach. The compound then turned out to be the ammo dump we had Intel about so we destroyed these weapons.

f54n.jpg

Further north laid our final objective a town taken over by militia and Takistan army with heavy mg guns on the roofs and at the main gate this town was housing our main objective, General Mohallad. After Gulf team laid to waste the defenses around the town Delta team were then able to capture and secure General Mohallad, minutes before the expected armored convoy to roll in.

xm2n.jpg

Taking out the armored convoy wasn't an easy task and we suffered heavily with injuries in our attempt to disable and destroy a T34 and a BTRM. Echo team took several AT shots at the convoy but none of these were effective and they were forced to push back leaving Alpha team pinned down by the convoy with Delta team heavily injured. After a small regroup and healing of the injured we pushed out a final attack and managed to destroy the convoy.

Updates

  • Thirsk campaign finished, right now we are in Fallujah, Syria.
  • Lost the UH-1Y Venom worth €1.250.000
  • We welcome our newest member to the unit: Lewis.
  • After recent events like the end of the summer holidays, the unit is now low on member count, this means that there are a lot of open positions now.
  • New weaponry, equipment and vehicles will soon be bought.

Operations

Operation Iron Gauntlet

A joint-operations with ASO-squad.de.

A basic attack and defend mission, we were playing as mercenaries and they were Finnish Defense Forces.

The mercenaries' task was to capture a Finnish general, controlled by AI which was located somewhere in Thirsk City.

The task the FDF had was to defend the general and fight off the mercenaries trying to capture him.

Due to member count on the other unit's side, they had additional AI support.

Operation Golden Retrieval

Part of the Thirsk campaign.

We were contracted to retrieve valuable intelligence from a downed Russian UAV drone above Thirsk Island.

As multiple people saw and reported the crash, not only insurgents moved in but also Finnish forces were interested to what this was.

We were to act as a third party and rapidly retrieve the intelligence before any other faction could, and if possible, destroy the UAV drone.

Thirsk Campaign

A month ago, a stolen C130J full of mercenaries crashed on a Finnish island close to the border with Russia.

We had to scavenge food and seek shelter, and more importantly, find our weapons back in a blistering blizzard.

It was cold and we couldn't see further than 50 meters however we were able to find our weapons back and some food, but we soon got attacked by Finnish Defense Forces.

The attack was fought off and we captured a small Finnish outpost south of the Island. Soon we started taking contracts from locals on the island and we re-established ourselves.

At one point we had a force big enough to capture a small island, compared to the main island, south of Thirsk which had several assets like a runway, a plane we could use and some civilian trucks.

We had done several civilian contracts when tensions started to rise between Finland and Russia due to political reasons. Not long afterwards we were being hired by the Russian intelligence agency to sabotage some of Finland's defenses and other.

We fled the country before Russia started the invasion, but the contracts sure paid off.

Fallujah Campaign

After fleeing from Thirsk we arrived in Fallujah, Syria(Iraq).

Fallujah is the heart of a nation-wide armed conflict going on between Syrian government forces and Syrian rebels, it all started two years ago.

Protesters demanded the resignation of President Bashar Al-Maleh and a month later Syrian government forces started firing on demonstrators across the country.

After months the protests turned into an armed rebellion and later in a civil war. Syrian government is supported by Russian forces deployed in the country and the Syrian opposition forces are supported by various Islamist rebel groups across the world. As we just moved in, we're planning on operating for both sides, making money that way while remaining on the background.

Updates

  • Finished our short campaign in Fallujah
  • We have more or less recovered from the loss of our helicopter, taking away all our money, we now have a balance of €881.100,00
  • We welcome our newest member to the unit: Farmor.
  • Big squad reformations, new weapons bought and ready to go.

We have done operations secretly for the US Army but also for the opposition, the Syrian rebels. As we became rivals towards both sides, with raids on our base every night by both factions, we decided it was best for us to leave the country.

We did so by first transporting our ammunition boxes, vehicles over ground and later hijacking a C130 to fly out of the country with the remaining mercenaries and supplies. Destination: Sahrani Island.

  • Finished our campaign in Sahrani Island.
  • Due to circumstances we had to set up a temporary TS3, the 24/7 one is WIP.
  • After selling cocaine we are now on a total balance of: €2.021.000,-
  • Unit had loss of members due to split-up.
  • New campaign map with new weapons, vehicles, equipment and mods.
  • We are looking for >pilots and crewmen!<

Sahrani Campaign

Approaching Sahrani, we were forced to land our aircraft at Sahrani International Airport, when we landed we were surrounded by police forces and military personnel.

Stuck in the plane, we had to make a decision and we decided to get out, guns blazing and we fought our way through the airport. Eventually we found a truck and got the hell out of there, we then got chased by the police, who had also set up roadblocks and spike strips on the roads, we managed to avoid most of them, roadblocks we rammed through, and with minimum casualties we arrived at a safe house two ex-mercenaries had prepared for us. We now had defend ourselves against the police forces and take down the police helicopter that was circling around, after doing so we left before the military forces came with their reinforcements, we fled to a small island southwest of Sahrani that was controlled by a drug lord, in return for letting us stay there we executed a couple of missions for him and made some money, after doing a raid on a weapons exchange we found 2.5 million euros worth of cocaine, which we split and half we agreed on to give to the drug lord.

So we had to go and transport half of the cocaine to the drug lord and he sent a pilot to pick up the drugs so while we were driving towards the airport where we were supposed to meet the pilot, we were ambushed several times by the men we took the cocaine from, but easily being able to take them out, we continued. Finally arrived at the airport it turned out to be a set-up and the pilot flew off with our drugs and we were left to fight off the ambushing forces. After a while we returned to the base where we did two more contracts, we then decided it was over for us in Sahrani, with the money we received by selling the cocaine. The drug lord had escaped but we were able to extract the information that he fled back to Lingor from one of his officers, we are going after him to finish some unfinished business.

Updates

  • Recently returned to Lingor Island, which we had a campaign in about half a year ago
  • We now have a 24/7 TeamSpeak 3 server: 5.231.81.149:9987
  • Currently have 20+ active members in Phantom Incorporated
  • We have a 24/7 ArmA II dedicated server, you can join it anytime you wish to.
  • We've existed for more than 9 months already, and we have now removed our age minimum.
  • Our aviation roles have been filled and thus we're looking for infantry and possibly people that are interested in commanding armored vehicles.

Lingor Campaign

Inserted by helicopter after being gone for more than five months we returned to the war torn Island of Lingor.

Lingor used to be a country controlled by a NATO-financed government lead by the dictator "El Presidente", he was assumed dead after we did an attack on his personal residence. After the death of the dictator and the several sabotages done by Phantom Incorporated and the ARL (Lingor Revolutionary Army) the government fell apart and the rebels took control of the country however, were shortly after attacked by NATO. As we set foot on Lingorian soil it was surprisingly quiet, the rebels were leading the country and NATO seemed to have taken a break from attacking, or more likely is planning something.

PCI wishes you a happy new year.

There's been a lot of changes lately, we've adapted a new structure in our group that hopefully causes less casualties during our missions, we are now open to joint operations with other units, and will likely do one soon. Our own custom Insurgency on CLAfghan for our dedicated server will be done shortly, all in all a great time.

Shown below is a compilation of Phantom Incorporated in the past year.

Kind regards,

Martin

Updates

Our Clafghan campaign has started after having done a extraordinary Lingor campaign.

We have grown incredibly, with now more than 20 players in a mission.

We are now partnered with the 21st Danish Royal Paratroopers, resulting in multiple joint operations between the two groups.

We now have an armoured 'division' (team), operating medium armoured vehicles like BMPs, known as Team Hotel.

As of 27/01/2014 we are in need of 1x Crewman and 2x Pilot (Rotary primary), and ofcourse we're always recruiting infantry.

Lingor Campaign "Vendetta"

-Continuation-

After having done civilian contracts to earn some money, we found that the drug lord which we have tried to kill and being our primary reason to move to Lingor was being sheltered by the rebel group leader, Roberto Fortin. We raided his residence and killed him after we found intel to the drug lord's location. We launched an assault on the drug lord's location, arriving there we were unable to find him, thus he was tipped off.

We continued to do civilian contracts until we were contacted by an USMC ranking officer for a set of black ops, we were hired to assassinate the remaining rebel commanders who are still controlling most of Lingor Island, as the USMC was unable to go on the main land. In exchange for assassinating these commanders we would be paid and the location of the drug lord, Ramon Rabante would be given, we executed the task and as promised we were paid and the position was known. We immediately assaulted the compound and found, and killed the drug lord, ending the personal vendetta.

We decided to leave the country as the USMC were now able to reach land and start clearing territories, as a final strike before leaving we hit a Russian controlled FOB which supplied most of the rebel troops, we then took off in our plane headed off to our next adventure.

Clafghan Campaign "Incorporation"

It is 3 months past the Lingor campaign.

Phantom Incorporated has grown incredibly, and is now an international mercenary group operating in a number of different countries.

The main division is currently operating in Clafghan, where the US Army and the Taleban are in conflict.

This conflict allows us to work for both sides and thus resulting is maximum profit.

Anniversary & Economy change!

We've been up for over a year now. Phantom Unit (as it was named back in Feb 2013) was created on the February 25th, as a split from a former mil-sim unit. The PMC idea proved to be truly unique, although there were some limitations we wanted to get rid of. We took some ideas of the stereotype mercenary and made our own definition of it. With the start of the first Lingor campaign, the idea of mercenaries was born and implemented. And so the Phantom Unit became Phantom Incorporated.

I want to thank everyone who has put the effort into showing up for missions, regardless of whether you are a former member or a current one. I hope for a good future.

One thing that made Phantom unique was our economy system. About a week ago from writing this, we decided to implement a big change to it.

Personal balances! This means that all the members, trial to president all have their own 'budget' aka 'balance'. You receive money from attending missions and completing the objectives of it. We have not gotten rid of the unit-wide-budget, aka global budget, as this is still existing and used for purchases like vehicles, certain weapons (e.g. Stinger), equipment and other costs.

With your own budget, you can request your own weaponry and its' attachments and if the request gets accepted, the money will be substracted from your balance, not the global one. Weapons have also raised in price, and we get less money from completing objectives. This means it will be more challenging to show up and complete the objectives.

Kind regards,

Martin

President of Phantom Incorporated

March/April Updates

  • Since the last update, back in January we underwent some changes. A personal economy system is now fully in effect, with people being able to buy guns on the forums, getting paid if they attended on succesfull missions and even the ability to give other members money.
  • We have also started and completed several new campaigns and are now experimenting with running two seperate campaigns at once.
  • Further, we had to disband our armoured vehicle 'wing', because of the high costs it brought with it due to loss of vehicles. Pilots are no longer in a fixed position either, as we haven't been using helicopters a lot lately.
  • The monthly joint operations with the 21st Danish Royal Paratroopers are also nomore due to the group disbanding. However, We have been contacted by another group to do something similar.
  • ArmA 3 is slowly being introduced, but nowhere close to being put on a fixed schedule of playing, just small sessions.

We are always recruiting members.

Isla Duala Campaign "Diamonds"

After our base was destroyed in Afghanistan, including all of our assets and equipment, we had no other choice but to flee. Two months later we got ourselves settled on an African island named Isla Duala, the island is divided in two, similar to Lingor Island back in the times of revolution. To the north, there are the Molatians, and to the south are the Afrenians.

The Afrenians seem to be more advanced than the Molatians due to the international support from NATO they receive. The Molatians still use old, Russian weaponry like AKs, RPGs and T55s. Their main source of income are diamonds and oil which they use to boost their military forces. Between the Afrenians and Molatians conflicts often occur, causing tension between the two governments to rise.

The UN has sent peacekeepers to some of the checkpoints on the border, but are regularly attacked by rebels supporting the Molatian government. Afrene has close ties to the US and most other NATO countries whereas Molatia has allies such as Russia, China and Iran.

The situation is perfect for mercenaries, but we are not the first to operate here. Other mercenary groups have been seen operating in the same area. Wealth is a guarantee, we thought.

We ended up working for the Afrenian government in covert, doing black-ops type of missions. We found out that the diamonds that fund Molatia are being guarded and distributed by a rival security company called Venator PMC, which we have encountered before, in Lingor. We collected enough intel to find out that they were up to no good, and as we were ready to attack them, Molatia started the invasion upon Afrene, using WMDs such as SCUD missiles.

As the whole island was being overrun by tanks, jets, and missile-impacts, we could not stay where we were. We packed up, got into our plane and left the island with the thought of returning in the future.

Celle Campaign "Insurgency"

It is 3 months past the Isla Duala campaign.

Phantom Incorporated has grown incredibly, and is now an international mercenary group operating in a number of different countries.

The main division is currently operating in Clafghan, where the US Army and the Taleban are in conflict.

This conflict allows us to work for both sides and thus resulting is maximum profit.

-To be continued-

Thirsk Campaign "Besiege"

Island of Thirsk, former part of Finland.

A long time ago, a stolen C130J full of mercenaries crashed on a Finnish island close to the border with Russia. We had to scavenge food and seek shelter, and more importantly, find our weapons back in a blizzard.

It was cold and we couldnt see further than 50 meters however we were able to find our weapons back and some food, but we soon got attacked by Finnish Defense Forces.

Not long afterwards we were hired by a Russian intelligence agency to sabotage some of Thirsk-Finnish defenses. We fled the country before Russia started the invasion, the contracts sure paid off.

Now we are back, and for only one reason: money.

It's been months since the invasion and Thirsk is now fully under Russian control. The island looks like a war zone with Russian troops everywhere, the few population left are primarily Russian of some sort.

Finland is paying us to do recon and sabotage on Thirsk Island, something they are not able to do without causing more political problems. By the end of this campaign, we agreed with the Finnish autorities, we will receive 750.000 euros, roughly a million USD. (To be continued)

It's been a while since I last wrote an update on this unit.

We are still up, and still recruiting.

Anyway, there's been a significant amount of changes, I don't even know where to start. Oh well, a small list of a few changes:

  • We no longer have fixed positions, people can now switch (any) roles during each operation.
  • We now have split company weapons/personal weapons in-game.
  • We have finished the Celle campaign, and the Thirsk campaign and now starting the Napf campaign.
  • We have done a joint co-op with Tier 1 Commandos and planning to do one with ER-101.
  • Our company balance is now over €5.000.000, due to rewarding campaigns.
  • We have over 40 enlisted members.
  • Whole new set of mods added.
  • We now play as other factions more often.

As mentioned, we're always recruiting so if you'd like, come check us out.

July Updates

After 14 months of being a dedicated mercenary-only unit, the time to pull that plug has come.

Ideas for the mercenary concept have run out, thus we are switching over to an all-faction campaign unit.

The last mercenary campaign, Napf, is expected to be finished somewhere in August, after which we will turn towards other faction campaigns.

The changes aren't too big, a summary:

Instead of mercenary units we will play different units.

The goal behind our campaigns will no longer be 'getting rich', but instead we can come up with new ideas, like patriotism(guerillas), hearts and minds(BAF/USMC), oppression (Insurgents), etc.

Per campaign, there will be a budget, and after ending of each campaign, everyone's personal balance gets resetted, vehicles are removed and the company balance will also be resetted.

In a campaign as USMC we (for instance) would have a spending budget on vehicles, given by our government or so, while a campaign as guerillas force us to scavenge vehicles more often due to lack of money.

So basically the persistent campaigns and the unique economy system will stay as they are or are improved, and more diversity is given regarding our playstyle.

Additionally, ArmA 3 is expected to be 'officially introduced' to our group (but not replacing), due November 2014.

Anyways, we're always recruiting so if you'd like, come check us out.

Hello there,

After 15 months, the mercenary-idea has really been exhausted. We've been a dedicated mercenary-only group for the entirety of this time, and we rarely played other factions.

We have decided that we are now open to playing as different factions.

Our first new campaign is kind of a funny one, we're playing as a police faction. Phantom Incorporated being it's own police department.

We've already created a story for the second campaign, that will bring back the concept of contracts.

If you want to join in on these awesome campaigns, have your own personally-bought weapon, and earn some fake, pixel-moneys, do know:

We are always recruiting, as we want to give as much people as possible a chance at Phantom Incorporated!
