Map: Zargabad to represent Adijan, Uzbekistan

Game version: ARMA2: Combined Operations

Description:

"As operations against Taliban forces in Afghanistan and Pakistan have continued, military clashes with Islamist non-state armed groups have been recorded in mid-2009 in Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan"

NOTE:

Tested and retested first mission (Prison Break) HVT Capture. Working fine. Just walk him to the vehicle. No need to load him in.

Tested and retested first mission (Prison Break) INSERTION. Still minor bug. AI team will follow you. They follow your orders 3 minutes after game play. I don't know why. Please be patient.

Known Issues:

May work just as good with CBA, CBA_2, CBA_OA/without Beta patches....let me know how it goes!

Not tested with any other mods, addons nor AI Mods such as ACE, SLX, GL4 and Gunters CoWarMod.

"C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2\arma2OA.exe" -showScriptErrors -mod=PMC;BAF;@CBA;@CBA_A2;@CBA_OA;@RWO

Have placed the required addons into a folder called RWO seems to of fixed the earlier issues i was having.

Just tried out your Camp. Still in mission #1.

It has a lot of promise, i like what you got going on.

Will keep you updated on progress ! Nice one

Yes, I noticed the error you referring to. Seems without the showScriptErrors, it runs just fine and does not show up. It's a handy thing having that. Just wish it were more precise.

Hi all,

Please be sure in MISSION 1 (PRISON BREAK):

Firstly, get clear of the Insert chopper. You're team will join you but not your command right away. I don't know why but I'm still working on it.

BUT, they will follow you around and then 2 minutes later, follow your orders.............

Be sure to clear the Prison completely of bad guys. Some will run out of the zone which is ok, but better to kill them.

Secondly, escort the HVT to the military vehicle. He does NOT need to enter the vehicle.

Walk him to the car. The trigger is set to 10 meters from the car.

I've tested this just now and 20 times before release. It is working.

So, after he joins your group, escort him back to the insert vehicle. That's it.

Hope this helps.

Also, about the Sentries MOD texturing quality on the backpacks, sorry but I can't help that.

Just be careful with INSERTION on the first mission. It's still buggy. When you insert and your men disembark, wait until the chopper flies away. They will not obey your orders until a few minutes later. I don't know why.

Some crazy bug relation with the Team and Chopper and I'm still pulling out my hair trying to find it.

Hell, even shark-attack is having a bad time finding it and he knows how to make good missions...

Kommiekat, I just finished IMU campaign v1.0.

I like this campaign. Good missions, nice cutscenes (short and simple but nice) and good music.

I found few bugs and mistakes. Nothing gamebreaking. I finished all missions without endmission cheat ;)

Mission 1.Prison Break

I also have this strange bug that after insertation from chopper my teammates dont hear my orders. They walk with me and they shoot but they dont send raports wenn i give them orders.

But i found solution how to fix this (it's work in my case). Wenn you get out with your squad from chopper just save the game. Then load that save. After this AI is ok and fallow our orders. :)

After we choose task: Capture HVT alive. Task dont have "yellow circle" on map as active task. But it's nothing big.

In briefing in INFO section there is still text that this is v.90.

I didn't have any problems with end mission. Mission ends wenn HVT was close to car. Few seconds after task was completed.

Mission 2. Lights out!

This was the best mission for me in this campaign. I like to play as Opfor.

Few bugs:

Setidentity dont work for players unit, we play with our ingame nick.

Task: Detonate car bomb. We dont have "yellow circle" wenn we choose this task as active. Wenn i detonate the bomb task wasn't "greened" in briefing. So i go to place where that car was on map. There was few dead soldiers and one destroyed uaz. In wreck i saw one enemy soldier (he stuck in wreck). I killed him and then on screen i saw white text "Mission accomplished" and hint "task accomplished". It's prabobly becose you don't change this after copy/past from my demo mission. Prabobly you also forgot to add to that trigger

tskobjX setTaskState "SUCCEEDED" (or there is wrong number for this task).

The rest of tasks are all ok, mission ends without problem.

In briefing in INFO section there is still text that this is v.90.

Ps: maybe wenn we get this car bomb task we should have radio message from our "HQ" that they have new task for us.

Mission 3. The hunt for fugetives.

In briefing in INFO section there is still text that this is v.90.

There is something wrong with overview picture. In campaign menu we have error message: "picture pics\uzbekpatch.jpg not found." Prabobly there is no such picture in pics folder.

From mission start we have radio optio 0-0-1 but it's dont do enything. This should work prabobly later in mission. But with this is problem becose....

wenn i clear village from all enemy soldiers and i found notebook i have message that task is finished but it's not greened in briefing. And there is some mistake in Taskhint there is green text "any".

We have new task that we should go to extraction point and hint that we have new radio option. but now that 0-0-1 is deleted so we can use that for nothing.

Chopper land in extraction point and starts after few seconds. He dont wait for us to get in. I give my men orders to get in. After this chopper land and we get onboard. Task Extraction was not greened in briefing.

I know that we have no task: we have to destroy enemy camp. But there is no new task in briefing for that.

I think that chopper land to close to enemy camp, we was attacked by couple enemy cars with MG. I also think that there is to many insurgents or not enough Uzbekistan soldier. I saw only one BTR60 and few soldiers and one Mi-24, plus me and my men.

Task Clear Nango and Reach extraction not greened in briefing.

Mission ends suddenly without any information about that we cleared camp or something like that.

Mission 4. Exodus

You dont add mission name in Intel window in editor, so in campaign menu we have Exodus.zargabad.

In briefing in INFO section there is still text that this is v.90.

If we get in to chopper before we enter the waypoint close to roadblock with name "Board Air transport" this task will be not greened in briefing.

Mission ends suddenly without any information about that we completed our task after we killed last group of insurgents.

All tasks are greened in briefing so all is ok.

There is no outro for this campaign?

Summary: It's a good campaign with few small bugs but nothing gamebreaking. :) I think You can fix all bugs very easy.

Ps: I like that new hints in missions with red color text.

Ps2: I played this campaign with @cba; @cba_oa; @cba_a2 no problems with that.

nice work the main problem was third mission which player is able to use ka-50 and that jet fighter in the iarport I don't know you did it beware or not.

Thank you for your kind words.

It's been a long time so I don't remember exactly that mission.

Mission making is more like a practice homework for me, so I learn each release and try to improve on the next release.

Problem is, I'm in Laos now and won't get back to things Arma for another month or two.

Please feel free to play my other campaigns and comment. I really need to see the bugs and mistakes I've made in order to improve.

I just wanted to try this campaign on ArmA2 1.62, with all the required addons, but the screen freezes and the campaign never starts from the campaign menu.

Feel free to take it over or anybody for that matter.

I was never a good mission maker, but I had good ideas.

Mission making is out of my league. 

Perhaps the recent upgrades wrecked havoc with the camp.

Pain in the butt, isn't it?

Have to spend hours learning the editor.

Then you have to retrain yourself because you forgot how to do simple things like load your player up, get scripts working, debugging, finding balance between player and enemy..........

I'd rather spend my time playing others mission releases.......too lazy now.

You are absolutely right - it is a huge stumbling block to start from scratch - and having a kind of creative block as to which missio idea is good and feasible in the new style does not help either. I can understand your concern perfectly.

Just downloaded the campaign and was baffled how its 101mb rar, took a look inside and sure enough there was music/sound files duplicated on every mission (at least by quick look on file names, no idea if he content is the same).

You can fix this easily and reduce download file size dramatically by using the global music/sound directories.

Oh yeah I know this is old-ish topic from 2013 but just in case you are still able to work with arma2 files I thought of posting this help.

btw the RAR is 101mb but in 7zip it would shrink down to 31.7mb :)
