Thread: Opf campaign - air superiority

  1. #1
In the OPF Campaign (not Resistance, not Red Hammer...the original), there is a mission called "Air Superiority" where you are a Cobra pilot, teamed with an AH64 Apache as your leader. You start up north, fly down and attack a convoy, then some tanks in a second village and then head home.

Everytime I fly this it tells me "mission failed" because I failed to follow orders. Even though I attack all called out targets and stay in formation with the AH64.

    What am I missing here?
If you can't be a good example...at least be a terrible warning to others...

    Question

make certain u stay within 1000 meters of the leader especially on the return trip to the base, thats where i noticed i got the mission failed message,we were like 1500 meters from landing and i took a detour as soon as i was over 1000 meters away the failed mission popped up

Hmmm...I had wondered about that. The leader kept whining about my returning to formation, but since his Apache ground speed was considerably greater than my Cobra I wasn't sure.

In fact, I began the mission once by machine gunning the leader and his gunner on the tarmac, thereby (theoretically) eliminating that issue.

    Thanks for the tip!
