    That is actually something I&#39;ve always wondered about..

    And rather than do a google search, because I am a lazy wanker, I&#39;ll just ask Denoir.

    Oh great sage of ballistics...what does happen to a round fired in the air?

    My uneducated guess is that when it finally strike the ground, it doesnt have nearly enough energy to do as much harm as it does straight out of the barrel. ***After all, wouldnt all of its energy from the propellant bleed off as it travels through it&#39;s ballistic arc...and then gravity takes over?

    Its like what viper said "What goes up must come down". I just dont know where it would. Probably depends on the wind speed and stuff like that. Denoir care to englighten us? *gets out a pen and some paper to take notes*

    I think the bullet would kill u if it would "fall" on your head,since the energy it costs the bullet to go up till the point it goes down again, would be almost the same amount of energy that it gains when going down again, or even more...
