German language - how?

Hi,

on Youtube I've seen a release Version of CC with complete german localization.

I have version 1.02 and all stuff deleted prior to installation (application and game files in documents-folder).

All languages I get in the CC-Options are:

English

Espaniol

Francais

Italiano

Why is this?

Where did you purchase the game?

Do you have a folder named "CarrierCommand" in your documents?

Okay had the same problem, the german language files are there but arent in the ccsettings.xml. So to fix that go to that folder

C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\CarrierCommand

there you find the "ccsettings.xml"

you get a bunch of options there you scroll complete down until you see sometihng like that

<misc subtitles="1" currlanguage="english" profile="PROFILENAME">

<language name="English" />

<language name="French" />

<language name="espaniol" />

<language name="itallian" />

just pick one and replace the languagename <language name="French" /> to <language name="German" />

save it and start the game, nwo you should be able to pick the german language and tada you have everything in german atleast text.

I was gonna get to that part, but Mortem beat me to it. :mad:

Wanted to make sure you actually had that folder and file before moving on.

I believe you can actually add German to the menu without having to remove anything else.

Just tested it and was able to add German without replacing any other languages. :)

I'm not at that specific computer, but I know the XML is there and your solution will work.

It's direct purchase of BI and I'd say it's a bug then, because an incomplete config file is created by carrier.exe

Fortunately they didn't forget french language ;)

OK, it works. And it is especially useful for the correct displaying of keyboard shortcuts in the GUI.
