Q about model cfg's and configs.

Hi Gurus,

I just wanted to ask why some weapon addons don't appear to have a model.cfg in their config or pbo. I can get weapons into the game
and working, but have to include a model.cfg etc. I de-pbo other weapon addons looking for tips etc and see that they don't appear to have
them, yet when i try to follow, my weapon does not work ingame?

Am i missing something big time?

I just noticed I am not using the latest BI tools, that might be my issue? (just D/L 2.5.1)

No, it has nothing to do with it. You can take out the model.cfg from any mlod p3d using mikero's extractmodelcfg.exe though:
