A jet crashing into a tree but nothing gets broken, and the LoD issues are extreme aswell :/ Even with everything on low, damnit.

But I still love this game. Can't wait for ArmA 3.

There is your problem, on average system very High default setting runs better than anythign elseand LOD switchign is reduced significantly by VERY HIGH setting too.

I said "Even with", that would usually mean everything else has been tested. Which in this case is true.

I normally run the game on max with MSAA 4x

7950 @ 1230 core and 1770 mem
Phenom II x4 955 @ 4.1 GHz

Raid 0 setup with over 360mb/s bandwidth and very low seek time, defragged with ultimate defrag with ArmA 2 folder as highest performance/read time...

Tried every single driver from 12.1 up to 12.8 betas.

even with is the wrong exspectation since LOD switching gets worse, not better with LOW setting. Next question would be what version of the engine you're talking about. Build number simply because LOD switching with last stable build got much better overall but pretty bad again with some recent beta versions.

Without data all of this is just gueswork.

Well I use the latest beta patch, the servers I play on sort of require that, so there's nothing to do about that.. everything is updated to the newest available

I’m using 1.62.96015 beta, LOD is getting much better after a few hiccups recently.

Theres been an LOD issue AFAIK since a beta patch a few weeks ago...

You're not forced to use every single beta Patch, in fact since 1.62 betas are purely optional again.
