    Tanks&gunships!

    Hey guys,I have two probs.
    1.Since the MI-24 are so underpowered(aka crap) is there a way I can make an AI BMP2,BRDM2 or T72 have two settings when opening fire??
    More exactly I want them to have very low skill when using their MGs against those choppers,but I want them to retain their high skill when using their weapons against ground targets like enemy armor.

    2.Can I do something to increase the MI-24 radar range??I have them on max skill(unit skill+difficulty skill for friendly units) and they still engage targets from 1000m-1100m.
    Before 1.62 I used this mod that fixed their radar http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=10901
    Now with 1.62 it doesn't work anymore.

    1. I guess you could adjust skill based on the typeOf target the tank has, not sure if you can change skill levels and have it take effect on the fly though.

    2. Make smaller missions? I'd probably just PM the author of that mod and ask for an update.

    #1 Underpowered!?!?! - Don't think helicopters are built to withstand continued 50Cal fire.

    #2 Try increasing the view distance for all (that affect a couple of things including AI engage distance). You can use the scripting command, setViewDistance X. Eg. try creating a trigger:
    Condition: true
    On Act: setViewDistance 6000;

    Underpowered in the sense that Mi-24 is gimped to hell in A2CO with problems like these https://dev-heaven.net/issues/26427
    Or bugged radar while an Mi-24 has sensors&optics that could engage targets much further than 1100m.
    Also I agree with you,continued fire with 50cal will get them down,but I doubt you could hit round after round on that chopper at 1000m while you're in armed UAZ or using an BRDM2 coax mg.

    Regarding your solution with viewdistance I keep it at 1600,the Mi-24 will still engage at 1000m or even lower no matter if I set it with aware or combat mode.Will try to set it to 2500m.

    @kylania Yeah I was looking at something on the fly,worse case scenario I just remove their ammo from their coax.

    You have to set viewDistance pretty high for effect. Around 1000 it begins to be errorneous fast. If you set to 5000 it is only really around 2500~3000.
