    Custom armories

    My idea with Operation Arrowhead is custom armories. Why? For one reason in a survival custom map (survival in chernogorsk against massive waves of enemies) that i play with my friends I want to add an armory at the spawn that has only a few various smaller weapons such as an MP5A5 or PDW, and a smaller supply of ammo than default. (there are other armories with bigger weapons around the city)For another instance, suppose somebody wanted to have armories with things like rifles but just not be able to use things like MK16 EGLM because the grenade launcher could be to powerfull for the given scenario, especially the AA-12's explosive shells. For a THIRD instance. A map maker could be making a sniper level and want to allow the player to use whatever sniper rifle they wish except for the highest calibur ones like the AS50.This could allow many more possibilities in terms of restrictions and extra power.

    This is already possible and has been for a long time with the use of Bohemia's scripting language, SQF. Specifically with the commands 'addWeaponCargo' and 'addMagazineCargo' (Reference). You may want to do some research on the subject of scripting within ARMA 2, to start I would suggest you check out the 'Editing & Scripting' section of the forum and maybe OFPEC. This class-list should also come in handy if scripting is something that you'd be interested in.

    thanks, I would have known this but I stay away from things like scripting/coding because its just so confusing to me.
