Can the Demo be updated?

Hello,

I'm new to ToH. I installed the demo today - 1.02.86687.
Then later I tried installing the patch 1.04, and there was an error message, something like 'ToH is not on the computer'.
Does this mean that the patches don't work with the Demo?
Or is it because I did not select the default folder when installing the Demo? There was no option to select a specific folder when installing the patch. The patch took a short while while (I thought) installing the files, as the bar moved across, but then finished with the error message.

Hi, the patches are not compatible with the demo. We have plans to update the demo after the next full main game patch.

Demo's are still important, as I believe many people(like me) try before they buy.
