"Invalid Handle"

Hey Jedra,

yeah probably no one knows the answer and maybei just got it wrong but actually i was in hope some ppl around here got enough know how to figure it out.
it was the first time i got rly 0 response in a "problem technic" thread ... anyways

We tried everythring.

Different server. Reinstall Arma 2 + OA + Day Z.
We als had a visit from a Technican since some people say invalid handle is a connection issue on OUR end. he checked the whole connection and everything was fine.
i guess its a kind of Day z problem.
Since we started playing warfare no handle problems anymore.

just waiting for the standalone.

So the "invalid handle" error pops up only when you join a DayZ server? At what point during the joining process does the error occur (before or after entering the lobby)?

On a related note, what is your in-game name? Does it contain any special characters?

No its not if i join a day z server ... its if i we try to start Arma 2 OA ... right after starting ... shortly black screen like its loading the game ... 1 second later its an error popping up
"Invalid Handle". and it kicks me back to the desktop

if we try connect to day z server via launcher. it appears with the invalid handle ... right after that happens you cant even start arma 2 oa.

Maybe a LAN game? Soo that would mean only Online issue~? Info on server they try so somebody else can try.. A actual screen shot of said error and some RPT.. etc..

So, it happens when you launch OA and not every time? That's weird.

Try renaming/deleting your cfg file...

c:\users\[windows username]\My Documents\ArmA 2\Arma2OA.cfg

Arma will re-create it when it runs (you'll have to reset your graphic settings).

If that doesn't work, try moving your profile to the desktop (so you can restore it back if necessary)...

c:\users\[windows username]\My Documents\ArmA 2 Other Profiles\[your profile name folder]

or (if you just used the default profile)

c:\users\[windows username]\My Documents\ArmA 2\[profilename].ArmA2OAProfile

Again, these will be recreated when you launch Arma.

Its not everytime. its just sometimes. like 3 - 4 times a Day. if the error occours we need to wait like 30 minutes. after that the game may starts.

there is nothing special ... the error is just random ... sometimes it works, sometimes not.

If your on steam i would verify your cache as it sound like one of your files could potentially be corrupt
