If they make it so the current step over thing doesn't require the player to stop ie. they can do it on the move, there should be no need for a jump vault etc. but since smokies the animator I would be surprised if we didn't get something like in the vid already posted.

protip: smookie is doing the animations for arma3, its possible. most of SMKs stuff is in arma3, the various stances, movement types, etc.

anything that allows me to navigate the terrain in more diverse ways in a plus.

The only thing is making it work for AI aswell.

Boosting teammates up walls and vaulting objects would be great maybe we could see this in an expansion pack if it doesn't make it into retail Arma 3.
Arma 3 Alpha is amazingly stable for me lots of good fixes BIS! Highly looking forward to beta and full release!

Vaulting over large walls not needed!?!

Not needed? Well.. i guess you could say being able to dive isn ''needed'' but its still super awesome and gives a great feel too the game. i'd personall like diving, going on some beach kill a guy STEAL... he's uniform... and then jump over a fence to regroup with my squad. i would say that sounds pretty awesome. but in the same way. it'd be awesome with some ''hitting'' with the end of you're gun like being able to stun enemies or something(?) but i deffinenty think there should be vaulting/Jumping over larger walls or large fences

Because you can't vault around with 30KGs of gear? BF3's vaulting is like soldier is some circus acrobat that carries feathers, not equipment.

Besides we already have step-over. I know step over doesn't look as cool but at least it's possible when carrying them M107 and Javelin.

You don't always wear 30kg in Arma. You can now even play in bikinis and underwear...

And total weight seems to be taken into account now, so that the M107 and javelin guy can be prevented to double back flip over the fences.

Seeing the SMK animations, I'm impressed. Good work there, I didn't know this was possible in A2 already.
