Thread: AI Voices

I think the voice acting is really lacking, it was one off the reasons I hated and didn't continue to play the arrowhead campaign.. Voice acting is more important than what some might give it credit for, just like weapon sounds etc.. All helps with the illusion and immersion.

    +1

Would be great to have shouting during battles and emotions in the voice.
The whispering since Arrowhead f.e. increased the immersion a lot for me.

I think the voice acting is more important than we give it credit for. A vast amount of atmosphere and tension can be created with your comrades' voices and radio speak alone.

The BAF voices definitely seemed to be a technical improvement, but they all sounded a little weird to me - accent/pronunciation wise.

    This.

Whats the saying - over 90% communication is non verbal. I'd rather the AI hit that cover and stay there then eloquently reffering to "man...500" all the while standing/proning and ultimately dying in the Queens best.

I think what they have done with the voice acting is very nice. I wouldn't be disappointed if ArmaII's AI voice returned, it was nice knowing where to look for an enemy, and yeah it's not gonna be perfect.
