Could be a corrupted install or a bad patch file (if it needing patching, that is).

Please look at this thread & follow the instructions:

At a quick glance it looks more like a hardware related issue, have you updated your video and sound drivers to the latest versions?
If someone reports an issue/complains about the Alpha etc, replying in the thread "dude it's an alpha" doesn't really help anyone! Point them to the Arma3 Alpha feedback tracker instead please!

Please do not PM or Email me directly about your CD Key issues, follow the guidance in this thread instead.

Well i got the game to run fine for a while now, reinstalled twice and it worked, however now whenever i wish to patch it from the disc version to 1.60 i get "error found in file" on anims/air/characters :/

According to the error messages you posted you're already running 1.60?

    This was after reinstalling.

Now seem to be having the issue of crashes in mission two of the British campaign:

    Item str_disp_server_control listed twice
Warning: looped for animation: ca\wheeled\data\anim\uaz_cargo01_v0.rtm differs (looped now 0)! MoveName: kia_uaz_cargo02
Warning: looped for animation: ca\wheeled\data\anim\uaz_cargo01_v0.rtm differs (looped now 1)! MoveName: uaz_cargo02
Value weaponDist not recognized as a source
Duplicate weapon Binocular detected for TK_Special_Forces_EP1

If I understand your post correctly, the install was with out errors and the " "error found in file" on anims/air/characters" was when you ran the patch. Is that right?

If so, check the MD5sum of the patch download (the zip file, not the extracted .exe) against the value shown on the download page. If it is different, the download is corrupt. Always check the MD5sum of a patch download before using it. using a corrupt patch means you have to do a full reinstall, unless you backed up the game directory to another drive first (as I always do).

I have seen all but one of the error messages from your report in a number of missions right through A2 and into CO - including after reinstalls and a recent completely new set of installs after I was given ArmA X. Never seemed to be a problem, missions worked fine.

The exception is the "Value weaponDist not recognized as a source". A new one on me.

Tried multiple patches and get an error on every single one =/ These being the ones on the main website.

Did you google atiumdag.dll ? It's related to your graphics drivers it would seem, now would be a good time to uninstall them, use something like driver cleaner to remove every trace, download the latest ones, disable your antivirus, install the new drivers as admin, and cross your fingers
