Oh look, unwarranted and stereotypical anti-American talk on the BIS forums, how unusual. Not like your tourist story sounds very credible in the first place.
Need I tell tales of all the Canadians that come down here on weekends to shop and act like arrogant complete ***holes the whole time, expecting to be waited on hand and foot? Everyone in this area dreads the weekends.
Seriously, I though we were supposed to be the "arrogant idiots".Why can't we have a thread here without this crap? I'll probably get responded to in a predictable manner to which I reply: if you can't take it, don't deal it. I don't mean to get heated but man does this kind of crap anger me.

Dismiss being called out by deploying subtle belittlement and continuing to act with a false sense of superiority. A typical move. Yawn.
There was no reason for you to act like an ass. Continue if you want, you just look like a clown and a hypocrite. *shrug* Remember kids, it's only bad if Americans do it!

Actually you'd be suprised at the number of questions about snow, igloos and polar bears you get especially from big city, never been out of their state before tourists.
I had to deal with tourists from all over the world in jobs I've had. New Yorkers and Texans by far had the most rediculous beliefs about what is just over the border.
In 2007 I was up North in a town called Prince Rupert [Just over the British Columbia/Alaska border]. While standing in the tourist info center looking at some maps
a Texan came swaggering in the door, huge cowboy hat, spurs, the whole gettup minus the 6 shooters, slapped $50,000 in cash on the desk and said "I'd like to buy Masset"
Masset is a town 0f 1000 people on the Queen Charlotte islands. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Masset,_British_Columbia
This guy argued for nearly an hour with the tourist info folk refusing to listen them telling him people live there, it's not for sale let alone $50,000. He claimed it was a deposit
and he pay $100,000 blah blah blah. The entire place was cracking up. Word came later he actually went there demanding to buy the town, houses with people in them and all.
Probably Quebecers.
I remember many years ago a Mayor in Florida wanted to have them banned.
The hardcore Quebec uber alles! crowd seem to believe that being French means playing out the French castle scene from Monty Python's The Holy grail when dealing with non-french.
Did they have an Outraaaaaagious accent?

Oh Quebecers seem to behave like any other french person I have met outside of France![]()
