    Possible server issue.

    Hey guys, I have just put a server up with the latest version of Takistan Domi. The problem I am having is that lots of people connect then disconnect immediatley after connecting. Only a few people can actually get into the server. The rest will get disconnected right after they connect. Is this aproblem on my end or is ot on there end. Oh, and I am not running any mods at the moment

    What does it show in the server console when they connect and drop?
    Get the people who cant connect to check their RPT file for connection issues such as NAT Negotiation errors. This file can be found in User/AppData/Arma2 OA/arma2oa.rpt
    Is your server or the clients running the latest beta?

    Yes we have the last Takistan update, Thats the thing, we cant talk to the guys before they disconnect. Is there a way for me to search and find out why they disconnected?

    Aiborneguy.
    1st thing is first, check your RPT and then post it here. Your Rpt if you remember for NFO is under the CFG.

    Post your rpt using the code so it scrolls.

    Notice one in red color. Youre running Combined Ops server ( arma2oaserver.exe ) and you placed reporting IP of Arma2.

    Lose the slashes and replace the line with this

    Is this gonna cure my issue with players not being able to connect. Im just wondering what gamespy has to do with having players disconnect from the server. Isnt this only reporting to gamespy?

    I found out it had to do with the latest version of Chernarus I believe. Im running 2.61 and I think thats what it is. Maybe its because they dont have the latest version?

    Ya I was working with airborneguy on vent and his issue is hes running a different version of Chenarus, and a mission that requires it, all his clan mates have
    this file but no one else does that tries to connect to his server, and when they do they get disconnected aka kicked.

    As i was suggesting to make sure that is exactly your issue run a default mission and watch what happens, most if not all public players should be able to connect.
    if you do use that mission with the modified version of Chenarus then you will need to add it to the server comment line so that public players know to have that island in order to play.

    After running a default mission, post a reply if you could to confirm that was your issue, as this would be something other new server owners could learn from.

    I ran vanilla and have the same issue. Could it be thats I dont have the latest version of battle eye?

    You ran vanilla what missions? Is the mission with island still on the server?
    and again where did you have this island at on the server? Or did you and the clanmates connect to your server with the island in
    your target lines and then the mission that required that island was on the server?

    the server still shows as a red dot for me, you want to try the vanilla again and see f i can connect?
    If you dont get a red dot but green, it dont mean that others will.
