So, I figured it was best to give ARMA II a few years after its release after I read up on the (again) buggy and near-unplayable SP campaign.
During the middle of this OA got released, and was apparently of higher quality (though it didn't seem to have the open-ended and dynamic nature of the ARMA II campaign ), but was the original ARMA 2 SP campaign every fixed, officially or unofficially, to an enjoyable and bug-free state?
I forced myself through the first ARMA campaign at a late stage as well, and it was still an exercise in frustration and command line tomfoolery in parts.
Have some of the mods got it right when it comes to dynamic single player playing?
I wonder about ARMA III already - will the release ethic be different this time?
