    BTT, regarding what Dwarden wrote above, did you already tried to re-download the beta patch? Run it as Administrator? You know, the common stuff i found when searching for "wrong CD key".


    As a sidenote, i used Worrom's updater just today ind it worked fine and i still use the 1.45 version of it.
    Yes, I did... re-downloaded, re-installed DirectX9, rebooted, restarted Steam, I ran every possible thing as admin... anyway, I will be reinstalling everything tomorrow morning and I will edit this post if that solves the problem. And about the slang - yes, I was a little annoyed but at the same time didn't expect people to take it personally. I suppose I am new to this forum

    I'm hoping someone can help. I've left ArmA2 alone for about 2 weeks, yesterday I applied the latest beta patch and tried to start it up the usual way through arma2 launcher. I get to the first screen with the tanks in the foreground and hangers/jeeps in the background and the game will crash to desktop with...

    this was NOT happening previously, and if I run 'without' the beta patch it works fine. Strangely even if I revert to a beta patch I had working previously, it too will cause a crash.

    Millenium7 what happen if you start A2OA via link ("Launch Arma2 OA Beta Patch") that is in your main A2OA folder?

    same problem. Doesn't matter if it's run by launcher or shortcut, still crashes at startup before getting to main menu

    Starting A2OA will show you the Desert intro, starting only with A2 shows Utes intro. Just make a clean reinstall eg delete ArmA2OA.cfg and Beta folder/stuff before.

    I could understand maybe a config file gone wrong, I think a clean install is unnecessary. latest official patch works fine, but now 'any' beta patch does not. It's specifically to do with running the beta. normal patch lets me load and play fine. I'd rather avoid downloading enormous data again if possible

    Betabuilds are a bit smaller ~8MB compared to full "final"/"stable" A2OA updates/patches to download.

    I got this patch on our server, when i enable sig check on server, it kicks me out of server lobby without anything but "connection to server aborted". I had to add 2 keys on the server, i connected and it gave me the message, that there#s no bisign for latest jarhead. I added the key, joined server, instant kick out of lobby without any other message. When i disable sig check verifySignatures=0; i can join and stay. Any clue?

    server rpt doesn't say anything strange, my rpt is full with this -->Warning: no type entry inside class RscDisplayChannel/controls/Channel

    I suggest you seek advice in Servers section rather than here. Obviously something is wrong with your server configuration nothing to do with beta patch.

    The LOD is weird again, now it has a delay, it's not really what it should be.
    Also this one can be considered an issue, at least for ArmA 3:
