Hello, everyone, I just bought ARMA 2 yesterday, and I am having issues getting it open. At first, when I attempted to run the game, it said, "Data file too short. Expected X, got Y." I came on here, checked for a fix, and there was a user with a very similar problem. I tried the suggested fix, and it changed the error. Now, it says, "Can't open file 'addons\dubbing.pbo'".
It took me $30, and 24 hours. I want to play my game.

It would be a helpful start if we know what version of the game you bought?
If someone reports an issue/complains about the Alpha etc, replying in the thread "dude it's an alpha" doesn't really help anyone! Point them to the Arma3 Alpha feedback tracker instead please!

I bought ARMA II and ARMA II: Operation Arrowhead. ARMA II had finished downloading first, and when I tried to activate it... yeah. Oooh, also, my hardware specs:

RAM: 8.00 GB
System type: 64-bit Operating System.

I got it to work with a bit of work. I had to re-download a number of corrupted files, and then it worked. Thanks for trying to help, anyway.

I actually meant more what version of the game ie digital download etc, glad it's working
