Truth be told that at least Spain kept on the offensive even after they had scored. Only when Spain gave the iniciative to the french did the game got as boring, as if the wining side was the french, they left any motivation outside the field.

Two days after England go out and all the stories in the papers are about two admirably performing players getting personal and racist abuse because they missed penaltys that England didn't deserve to get to... Meanwhile people are hopeful that England's worst midfield in several generations will be retained for 2014.

Italy vs Germany will be interesting....actually I was impressed by the Italians against England. Fast gameplay and accurate passes, but struggled always at the goal.
I was already impressed when they played spain in the group stages. That match could have gone either way. I'd go so far as to say that whoever wins this will be the favourite for the title - even against Spain. Of course I want Germany to win it but I'm not sure about this. Italy have always been the end to Germany in the knockout phase of turnaments.
I'm really excited about the match. If we were up against England I wouldn't worry too much. Italy are something different though.

Yes, Italy is the most dangerous of the three challengers of Germany IMO. They are maybe not as technically brilliant as Spain or Portugal, but they are really playing as a team, they have a great fighting spirit.
