Slatts RIS AK-74 pack

Hey guys,

Just something I've been working on along side the AUG pack. It contains the AK-74 with RIS rails

Not to many versions planed for this one (2 or 3 is better then 60 AUGs :D )

for now the RDS and maybe ACOG. along with a few lights and laser versions

you mean where the hand guard is on the M4? I always thought it was a bit cheap to do that, it doesnt fit right and is just copy-pasting

So thats why I made a new attachment with the rails to go in place of the wood hand guards

I thought about something like this.

there is the red dot you see in the first shot to fit that role. the aimpoint from the M4 is too big for this and doesnt suit it (again personal preference)

as for GL's, I would like to keep the GP-25 rather then a m203 but dont have the models ( they werent in the sample models ) but looks like I'll have too

An Aimpoint t1 on the top rail would be perfect, I run one on my AK74 mounted to an ultimak gas tube rail and it is perfect, cowitnesses with irons too. A version with a magpul AFG on the lower would be really cool! Loving the work so far man, cant wait to use them!

I was thinking of adding the AFG for a change from fore grips, first i need to learn hand animations (making it is no problem)

Also I think I'll stick with the little reflex I have on it right now, too keep the amount of versions as low as possible (no point having too many red dot sights)

Also been making a new attachment that mounts to the rail at the back (where the pso scope mounts etc) with a longer RIS rail for an ACOG (bit like the CZ rifles)

Heres a picture of the 3X sight and new RIS mount at the rear. I might attach ACOG's here and maybe a night sight

With that RIS mount even a grenade launcher is possible! oh and, good idea with the night sights, maybe thermal too? (yeah I know it sounds COD'ish) :D

you cant mount grenades launchers via RIS, or the rifle and GL de-attach (rather violently i hear)when you fire the GL

EDIT: the rear mount is designed for bigger scopes like night and thermal(doesnt sound COD-ish as they are real :p heartbeat sensor anyone?) the big idea here is to give the AK the night abilities of blufor weapons in arrowhead

also been making the 3X sight model better and updating the AUG pack

You could put a M-320 on it, those are Rail Mounted.

Yeah I had a feeling one of the ideas/requirements behind the M320/AG36 was that it wouldn't require special tools/training to add or remove from a weapon. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong though, not sure where I heard that.

hmm well we dont have either the M320 or AG36 in stock here :p im sure if you put effort into making it work, a RIS mounted M203 is possible. but our armourers say the M203 we have doesnt wok with RIS mounts

To be honest If upgrading AK's wouldn't it be nice to change colors of it? I somehow cannot see modernized AK with old wooden stock... it just makes it look... weird.

apart from the mag, theres no wood on it. i could only get the AK (S?) with the folding stock as the normal AK-74 wasnt released under the BIS MLOD's

but i agree with you, i did think of making a 74M style stock as i prefer the plastic look rather then wood

theres no wooden hand guard... i replaced it with a new quad rail hand guard

EDIT:oooooh i think i know what you meant, the pistol grip at the trigger, yea i was meant to change that :D thanks for the reminder
