If someone reports an issue/complains about the Alpha etc, replying in the thread "dude it's an alpha" doesn't really help anyone! Point them to the Arma3 Alpha feedback tracker instead please!

Nice to see that you guys are working on it since I look forward to DayZ also, but it seems it isn't for everyone i guess because my friend also purchased from amazon downloads and was able to play multiplayer, DayZ, etc. with no issues whatsoever. Looks like some of us are unlucky or he was just extremely lucky.

Yep it looks like batches of keys were uploaded, most made it, some didn't, seems there's no pattern to those that went into the system fine and those that didn't so unfortunately we're having to look into them on a key by key basis, which is obviously a major chore for everyone involved, worst of all of course being those who bought the game and can't get it to work as it should right away
When purchasing through Amazon, does it show you the key, like it does in most other games they sell, or is it linked in as part of the installer?
I'm almost certain Amazon should provide you the key. Either in an email or their website. I believe that it is only with Steam that the key is linked in with the installer.

That is what I was thinking as well, I am also trying to figure out if they send a legit CD Key, or if it is a special key that only works with their installer. Often times those keys will work when activating other copies of the game, like using it to activate a retail CD copy. I can't actually download through Amazon, as their downloader will not connect to their servers for me. Their tech team (and their lead tech) couldn't find the problem. So if I bought through them, I'd have to use a CD copy to install/activate, but I don't know if that works.
