[SP] Flashpoint: - Instant Action - Dynamic Missions - Release Thread

Recommended Posts

This would be so much better than the "Dynamic Missions" for arma 3 at the moment, they are overly complicated and I kid you not, I put HUNDREDS of hours into your flashpoint Arma 2 missions using the ACE mod and just playing it my way. Very fun!

Hi guys

I have been super busy with work the last few months, and getting to grips with Arma3 took a while..

I am working on an Arma3 version of flashpoint, you will be pleased to hear :)

Its very basic at the moment, it will take me a while to set everything up.

Here is a screenshot of the new User Interface I have been working on

I will start a thread in the A3 section later, when I have something finished to release!

regards

B

p.s. posted this again, as it got lost in the middle of the thread

Nice! great to see you back in action, what's Arma without some Flashpoint action! and the new interface looks like it will be very fancy :D

Couple more screens of development for A3

flashpointDebug00.jpg

flashpointDebug01.jpg

These show the debug markers for all the new modules:

Infantry groups can move to towns, road junctions and isolated buildings, these can all be seen as markers.

Also a new module for parked cars, cars can now spawn near any road with a building close by, not just in predefined towns.

Some good progress, will try and release soon

That is positively excellent news, I'm so glad you're still with us.

One question on the new A3 version, will it be portable to old A2 maps easily enough?

Would it be possible in the interim to solve the minor problem that AT and AA classes have when using Flashpoint with A3?

I would do it myself but I seem to keep bunging up the script, although all that needs to happen is the particular unit needs a backpack in order to have either an RPG or AA missile in it's inventory.

Great ! Awesome ! :)

And if I may, what would be very neat is to keep the old maps we used to love (I fear Altis, which I suspect will kill my CPU) and to include AiA assets, reviving the good ol' times and giving the units a second life too.

Thank you so much !

Is there a way to clean up dead bodies and wrecks in the mission? After 5-10 mins it gets unplayable because there are over 100 bodies laying around. Any help would be great!

PS. In my game it falls from 45fps to >10fps in 10 mins.

Dead bodies should be capped at 80. Try de-pbo the mission and lower the RECYCLE_MAX value from the init.sqf file and see if that helps. Good luck, great mission.

Any news on the ArmA 3 version? I really do miss this mission in ArmA 3, I tried to see if I could port it over myself but it blew my mind with all those scripts and stuff. I had no idea where to start.

Is there a way I could make these missions more compatible with ACE 2

Hi, I am playing this game after a long time just because of this mod but I am unable to team switch when I add a unit to my squad via "Manage Team" interface. Please help. Atleast make few units playable/switchable. I am currently playing as Russia.

Tried this one and it is really a nice, well scripted instant action mission. Personally,  I am more intrigued by story driven missions, but this mission of yours definitly does what it advertises. :)
