    quick question: Any chance of ever seeing these in Iron Front in the dim and distant future?

    This is my favorite mission by far, but i have one thing to ask, when i set the objective do enemies come mostly from that direction or they spawn in some radius, no matter where they started or where the battle took us?
    Fanboys ruin everything.

    Hi sektor

    When you set an objective the units spawning area does not change.

    However, when you move towards the objective, your movement in that direction does change the unit spawning area.
    *(note: the moving of the spawn area means the deleting of groups outside the area, behind you in this case, and spawning of new groups)

    This actually happens at all times during the mission. Any time you move, the spawn area is moved in your direction. The size of the movement depends on your average speed. The centre of the spawn area actually moves quite far out from your position if you are running fast. This is designed to keep the battlefield busy wherever you go; and also to quickly generate a new battle if you, for example, drive a car really fast away from the battle.

    Its not a perfect system, especially when you drive a long way quickly. But I have tweaked it a lot to try and give the best immersion and feeling of realism.

    On another note, the objective system is still very basic I know, and I hope to improve it when I find the time!

    Thanks for the reply, i read instructions and understand spawn concept, it just feels that the enemy spawns from almost all directions after i ask for objective.
    Nevertheless, i'm having great fun with this mission, keep up the great work.

    Thanks Thomsonb, I'm lovin this! I've just got to work out why my frame rate goes right down to 12 after a minute or so. So many units I guess.

    I too would love to see an Iron Front version!

    Love these missions when I just want some plain SP Arma2 action, and don't want to bother with other missions' boring cutscenes and transport times. I play it with lots of mods, including ACE, and ASR AI. The AI mod really makes it hardcore, the AI fires from very long ranges, great firefights.

    Thanks a lot for your work, thomsonb! Were can I find any tutorial to learn how to add new factions (islands)? I would love to see Operation Frenchpoint added, aside from Isla Duala and Lingor islands support.

    I like the simplicity of the mission, but maybe some repair trucks here and there, and maybe enemy outpost at the objective?
