Mouse Speed

I did not know where to put this as it is about mission editing so I just put it here. I used the mission editor alot back in the days but when I try and switch back I cannot because the mouse cursor is too fast, I know how to slower it in the control settings but that does not effect it in the editor for me so does anyone know how to make it slow or do it just take time to get used too but for me its really fast.
