Getting disconnected from my own server

I recently started hosting a dedicated server for a friend and myself to play on its running beautiful for him but I constantly loose connection to it. The thing is its on this same pc so how can I loose connection? My friend looses connection maybe once a night if that. I also have a TS3 server being hosted on here but I don't get dropped from that.

Do you connect "locally" (network) or by Internet?

In game browser says LAN when I connect since it filters out the ton of other servers and its run on this same pc. I don't know if that changes how I connect I never tried with it on Internet on the browser.

You're doing it correct, connecting by internet could be the issue, but not in this case...
