I would also suggest Mando Airfields or Mando Takeoff and landing over on OFPs site its an old script but apparently the guy who made the really awesome Airbase Template V2.0 got it to work in Arma2. Its funny I just posted on his mods forum about trying to get it work on my missions as well. AI take off and landing without a runway really should have been possible from the start and dealt with by BI. However some things always get left out in games and it seems its always the simplest of things that get left out that tend to be the ones we need or want to have the most.

Not sure about the Height of the runways as Ive never used Unit Capture Unit play but from what I understand you initiate unit capture and Fly the route and height of the aircraft you want to have recorded. Then you when you initialize unit play it basically makes the AI aircraft fly and move the exact flight route you captured.
You can do this for several Aircraft however keep in mind these is a very Resource intensive way of doing things and more then 5 or 6 unit captures in the same mission will cause stuttering in your mission during the flights. A good example of this can be seen in the I44 mod mission Aloft. Where there are several Unit captures being Used for the C-47s flying over Omaha beach. The stutter at the start of the mission is choppy but clears up within a few seconds.
