Thread: How should I do this?

  1. #1

Question How should I do this?

I can only find reference images that are either from the front or frontal side angle. I have no perfectly flat side images of said vehicle and no measurements. How do I model this or do I just have to guess?

Besides that, some more info would be helpful, mainly which vehicle you mean.

Maybe as a quick shot, this might help: http://www.the-blueprints.com/

My bad on the title, there is so, so much media on this vehicle, but sadly nothing to the direct side of it.
I was going to try and model the Safir, a 3/4 jeep, but I can't find any good refs and my imagination isn't up to spec with experienced modelers.. I just thought it would be fun to run around in a tiny jeep with a ATGM mounted on the back

Wikipedia has at least some data about length and width: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Safir_%28vehicle%29

Since it is a iranian vehicle, maybe (if you're able to understand) browsing some iranian sites will reveal some more info.

In worst case, it looks a bit like a Willy's Jeep. Maybe use the Willy's as base and the try to convert it to look like the Safir....sorry, i think this is your best bet.

Yeah, I guess converting a jeep into the thing will be a ton easier then trying to make my own drawing, I'll take your advice and do that.
    Thanks!

Its hard to construct a side view from only a front view. The best method i can suggest is to look for side photos then create a schematic over that. I use a CAD program for that usually but you can use Photoshop, GIMP or similar.

Low res side view for you.
