Weapon Jaming - Illusion or fact?

    Hello,

I seem to remember that back in the official ArmA 2 or Operation Arrowhead campaigns,
the guns had the ability to jam if you continouusly fired.
You had to press R for reload then.

No mods. Is this fact or fiction?

Those weapon jams happens in ACE mod - not in vanilla version

There's one place for One Snake and for One BigBoss !!!

This phenomenon is called running out of ammo.

It happens to me rarely. I'm always on ACE though so I'm not sure if it's ArmA2 or ACE itself. It tends to happen if you fire your weapon automatically for extended periods of time.

Theres a difference between out of ammo where you here a click, and a jam.

If I remember correctly I believe it was ACE a message would popup and say your gun is jammed, so either with the action menu you would unjam , or just reload to clear it.

Guns never jam in vanilla Arma 2. You can fire thousands of rounds full auto trough an M4, and nothing will happen. There are also no default modules that enable this. ACE does, but that´s a mod.

    Only Acemod as I remember.
Otherwise I've experienced in RL that a girl managed to jam a pistol that fired 10000x rounds before. And me and my buddies fired after her at least 100-200 rounds, no jam

Hey! Some guns get nervous with a girl and just can't perform!
