    Enigma - just wanted to say that your mission has given my group tens of hours of exciting play. On our eighth attempt we finally made it. It was epic - we started at 0400 (in game) and finished at 0700 so we played through the dark of the night and the following dawn. Our successful attempt gave us 4 hours of the most intense play I've had in a single mission. It was nail bighting stuff and we gelled as team, working hard, being stealthy and planning our escape to avoid roads and other known patrol routes. At one point we lost our vehicles in an ambush and had to run 4.5km and it was brilliant! When the boats came over the horizon we were genuinely relieved!

    Your mission was brilliant, but also highlighted some of the most amazing things about Chernarus like the beautiful dawn in the forests!

    Like I said - epic! Thank you

    The mission is really a blast, thank u for this masterpiece
    However the start is a pain in the a.., 40 % of all starts fail because of desynced initialisation (sometimes the guard will just shoot all players right away - when using asr ai the start doesnt work at all, when we play this mission we disable asr ai) plus sometimes the walls of the prison are wrong aligned to the ground and the patrols see u right away, sometimes a bush is in the entrance or bushes are all around and u cant beat ai in such a situation especially when it is 1 gun vs 5 guns. It would be great to have a synchronized start among all clients (i know theres scripts around that do that but i have no idea who made it or what it is named) or maybe add an intro that takes 20-30 seconds so the init can run in background and all clients have a fluent start. Additionally in our group (most of the time we r just 3 or 4 players) we think that most of the time the MI is way to fast. To often its just seconds after the first shots and the MI is already there + a heavy or light armored tank joins the party after 1 minute
    Other than that the mission really rocks, the start just needs a bit polishing

    Hello Engima

    First, I want to thank you very very much for the Mission Escape from Chernarus. I played it many times with 2 friends and its awesome! Yesterday, we found some Makarov SD in an Ammo Depot and I wanted to edit the mission so we start already with Makarov SD. I know this wouldn't be very realistic for prisoners, but we like Silenced Pistols very much and we would only use it after we escaped the prison.

    I have some trouble because i don't know much about editing such missions. How can I open (if I have your permission of course) your mission and give ourselves a Makarov SD with 8 mags on the start?
    I hope you can help me and thanks again for this amazing mission!

    I want to play this mission but every single time I do, during the first 2 minutes a chopper starts following me around and there's nothing I can do about it.

    It happens EVERY time. Just as I run about 250-500m from the prison camp a chopper suddenly appears and starts following me around and the only thing I can do about it is to hide in the forest, waiting for it to run out of fuel and hope that it doesn't hit me with it's MGs, which is incredibly dull.

    Firstly a big thank you for making this mission, me and my friends are having loads of fun playing Escape Chernarus.

    I am pretty new to mission editing and have been trying to figure out the basics on how to modify your mission to allow for example switching of playable sides, so we can play as Russians Vs US. Do you have any advice or information that would help us achieve this? I think I read it was possible to switch by changing a variable but I can't seem to find it. Would be really cool if this could be a parameter that we can switch similar to how we can switch grass on and off.

    Also I have tried changing the unit in the mission file but I think it breaks the AI as they end attacking each other. I am guessing that changing the unit/factions needs a little more than just changing the units. Again any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.

    This is very true. I posted a similar complaint a few months ago. Basically your only hope is to run. Personally I don't think that a helo should arrive on-site so soon.

    You can lose the chopper, I can lose it when I crouch run, and use trees to break line of sight. Plus the start position is random so the chopper can arrive at different times, its just the luck of the draw.
