[Closed & Released] San Fortuanto Defence Forces

    What is this mod?
This mod is being created for clan purpose, which will be later incorporated into a tactical realism clan which will be called "San Fortuanto Defence Forces" with it's own custom island. However I predict that this will take a lot of time.
This mod is based mostly on re-texturing and some minor changes, I am a sole creator of this mod and no one else is helping me out at this point in time. I do not take ANY CREDIT whatsoever for the models and I have asked for permission and received it from most it from most of people but still awaiting replies that is why and download for my mod won't be added without being given the permission from all mod authors. Until then I won't give a download link nor upload.

This is a first time I have created an addon/mod and I'm trying to do it as neat as possible. I believe its expected there might be some bugs in the textures which I am trying to fix.

What is Republic of San Fortuanto & San Fortuanto Defence Forces?
San Fortuanto is a fictional country and the story of it is quite simple...
Republic of San Fortuanto is an Italian speaking country, however it was occupied by the Soviet Union during the Second World War and re-gained its independence when the Warsaw Pact & Communism came to the end. San Fortuanto Defence Forces are mostly equipped with Eastern Mechanized Equipment but some Western Equipment is also present in the Defence Forces. More about SFDF below.

    Armoury?
As written above the Defence Forces of San Fortuanto are mostly equipped with Eastern Mechanized Equipment but some Western Equipment is also presen. The Infantry Corps [SFIC] are equipped with FN FAL Battle Rifle and M1911 and a small amount of M16A2. The Government of San Fortuanto is attempting to add additional weaponary to its forces, yet it is awaiting suggestions from the Military Advisors. The Air Force [SFAF] is equipped with Mi-24s, Mi-8s and MIG-15s at the moment, these vehicles are left from the communism era and some were bought afterwards. The Armoured Cavalry Corps [SFACC] are awaiting their delivery of tanks, APCs and other wheeled vehicles at the moment they are equipped with M113 and GAZ Vodniks are awaiting delivery and the Whole Defence Forces are in process of modernization.

    Can I help?
Of course! I would REALLY APPRECIATE having some kind of support, not only by helping to re-texture or make anything BUT EVEN giving me suggestions/ideas WHAT units to add such as what tank, plane, weapon and so on because its very hard for me to decide and your help will be appreciated. If you want to help me, a first time modder, feel free to do so!

Sounds interesting to say the least, mate. Never can have too many fictional countries and armies in the armaverse, all the endless US Army stuff gets a bit stale sometimes. Something new is always a welcome addition in my book!

Hmm... Not entirely convinced that this phoenix decal from Pontiac is a good idea for an armed forces logo.. I mean, it's just too iconic.

I didnt know if it is from "Pontiac" I simply found it on google under army tag and I thought it looks good... Cant expect much from a newbie tho I guess?

Well if I would only have something nicer I would re-change every texture that has it...

It surely is It rather stands for several generations of US automotive legends (Firebirs/TransAm by Pontiac).

My suggestion would be to inspire yourself by whatever comes up in google images after searching for 'airforce roundel'. Quite a nice variation, there's surely something to ignite the imagination and base your creativity upon.

Plus, I'm pretty sure that the phoenix decal is a copyrighted thing Nowadays it's better to be on the safe side :P

Thank you I will get on that ASAP tho I still will need to look for some sort of airforce icon (e.g. Eagle Etc)

EDIT: And here it is... Not sure if accurate circles :-'| but well tell me is that way better for SFAC? [San Fortuanto Air Corps]

I like that logo personally, don't think I've seen it anywhere else (in that color at least) and it reminds me of the RAF symbol.

I had an idea, if you are planning on changing the units to CDF models anyways maybe you could create two different types, regular forces and reserve forces. Because of the countries name and that they are Italian speaking I figured they're probably somewhere between Spain and France, so they could receive a lot of their equipment from them.

The regular force could be the most modernized using some kind of new camo a mix of western equipment like the G36 (newest) and G3 (oldest) for the main rifles, and possibly the MG36 or MG3 as the main support weapons. M240 could be heavy support gun. Vehicles could be the Leopard 2A4 or 2A6 as main battle tanks. There is a BRDM vehicle pack available on armaholic which has several variants that include western weapons (M2, M240, Mk19, TOW), maybe ask permission to use and retexture those as the primary transport vehicle (link: http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=14943). So instead of completely upgrading to new western vehicles they still use old eastern ones that have just been modified. You could include the M113 as the main tracked vehicle as well. For aircraft you could include the Super Puma for transport and Tiger for attack, both of those models are in the Frenchpoint mod if they would allow you to use them.

The reserve force could stick with AK-74's and PKM/RPK and older camouflage, with standard eastern equipment you'd expect like UAZ, Mi-8, T-55 and T-72.

Just some update on M113A3, I made a Armored Corp's "icon" a blue and white wolf a brief story about it below the pictures

Story about Blue & White Wolf: In ancient stories, blue and white wolf was seen by the first inhabitants of the San Fortuanto island, during a thunderstorm. Whilst the first inhabitants were occupied by search of a safe place to sleep for the night and soon after settle down. During the thunderstorm the inhabitants were attacked by wolfs. This was a total surprise to the inhabitants and soon everyone was rushing and panicking to save themselves from those hungry beasts which cornered them and the only thing that crossed their minds was death. However just as all hope was lost a blue and white wolf appeared out of the shadows to aid and save the inhabitants from certain death. The island soon became known for its big population of wolfs which eventually grew to be its national animal. Up to this day it is yet unknown or proven that such creature ever existed but the ancient people of San Fortuanto called it "Blu Dio" which in English means "Blue God", and was worshipped as the guardian of the island.

As well stupidwhitekid75 remember that it is a post soviet country and not so rich one.
