The AIM-9 L/M series is listed as common armament part of the F-14 Tomcat. The L and M version are quite similar from the outside, imprevements are found "under the hood".
Since the AIM-9L entered Service just 3 years after the Tomcat entered Service, i guess it is most logical to have L/M Sidewinders on the F-14.

True ill look in to it mate........Anyways here's a long awaited update. I've been really lazy of late and put everything off but i was doing bits in pieces when i could. Hope you guys will forgive me....I created a new Desert Campaign texture. It resembles more what a few tomcats might have looked like near the end of their service and fight in the Iraq war and what not. This texture has the emblem from the V1.0 release on the rudders, and carries no VF number, as it is neutral in itself and is supposed to represent US tomcats as a whole. I also got a few instruments working in the C pit which was a huge accomplishment i ran around and danced for a bit.... Also Evil_Brownie let me use a few textures he created himself, VF-31 Tomcatters, and the Christmas Version of the Checkmates. Here are the pics, sorry for the low quality forgot to turn it up!

Yeah, I totaly have to agree with Gnat!

I just so love all these colourfull paintings that the US Navy used to have and they looked espescially nice on the Tomcat. Keep up your excellent work VectorX96!

Hey thanks FLv*VeNoM*, also im not going to do the older version of the AIM-9. I remembered this is a F-14D we're talking about which is the latest version which did at one point use the AIM-9X. This isnt a F-14A which would probably require such an old version but either way a missile is a missile when you come down to it. Maybe just different internal systems but would your really want to fight a Su-34 or with the oldest missile alive?

Ello, here is a small update.

    -Separate vehicle classes for VF's
    -Different number textures (ex. F-14 100 and F-14 102)
    -More textures
-Sweep and Swept Wings are now actual user actions and not scripts, so they should show all the time.
-Afterburner now has been fixed from a gas guzzler
-Free Fall bombs Bombcat, to complement the Laser guided Bombcat
    -Working Instruments.......to a certain degree

That's all i can remember that i did heres a few screens of the Sundowners low vis texture, and one screen of the redone Checkmates.

WOW!!! Waht a true beauty she is.
Very very nice work, my props to all involved.
Please also carry that model later on to ArmA3 once the Dev Tools are out.
Marek Spanel: [...] Every single element is well taught so that it fits together. So this is a significant change, because with ArmA 1 it was just random, really.
We made some units because we had to. There wasn't much passion from our side with the first ArmA, to be honest. This time it's different. (Videogamer.com Interview

Please BIS: Arma2 must become a TRUE MASTERPIECE - Not a middle-heavy catastrophe!
