The rereleases totally killed the game. Once tried to get some coop/pvp going on the forums and it took 2 days for all of us to ge on the same version.

You only need IL-2 1946 it´s a standalone product including all the other versions.

(except the original IL-2 from 2001 with the old engine)

If you are interested in flight sims and you do not have it yet you should get it, you can get it really cheap. It´s still my favorite WW2 flight sim.

I did play the FB a lot due to it's Finnish campaign.

I also purchased the 1946 steam version recently from xmas sale for only couple of euros.. maybe I should install it and see if it's patched as well?

I loved playing IL2. I also loved Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator...good games.

Oh, MCFS. That takes me way back. I loved playing a bomber gunner. They don't make games like that anymore :(
