Enable use of AT weapons when prone

I think that most AT weapons like RPGs should be usable while in prone position. It's completely realistic and this feature would make commanding AI squads with AT weapons a much more pleasant experience

ACE 2 has this. Voting with your feet is the best suggestion.

On another related note, the AI should be able to use AT weapons against low-hovering rotary-wing aircraft without the use of AI mods. They already fire some small arms at low-hovering rotary-wing aircraft, AT weapons should be used also.

Actually yes I know only about AT use in prone and kneeling positions...the standing one shoulb be removed in favor to a prone AT stance...especially with heavy Launcher like Dragon,Metis,Javelin...you can't effecticly fire those standing anyway in RL.

This can be accomplished with a config tweak. The problem is that is magically gives RPGs a proximity fuse!

The problem is that helis in this game survive AT like heroes

i shot many times kamovs using MAWWS or SMAW,not even disabled them, while a BMP gets killed in one shot by these.

This is due to the hitpoint system as we know. It makes a Mi-24 survive two sabot hits. While this might be O.K. from a realism viewpoint when a sabot hits the cargo compartment, it is ridiuculous from, any other hit aspect.

Taking DCS from ED as a benchmarkl all aircraft in ArmA have at leat twice the survivability of DCS aircraft...almost all aircraft in ArmA are flying tanks by definition of pure hitpoints. Now add the fact that aircraft have no subsystems that could fail, like fuel, weapons or engines.

Sabots should pass right through a helicopter unless it hits something important. Same with cars. Like in ACE where it will zip right through the crew compartment but it's curtain if a rotor or pilot gets in the way.

Now don't say you wish to guggest that is has no effect to have a hole streching through the whoe fuselage from frotn to end...there is rarey soem empty space in a helicopter, you will always hit something important.

It gets even more ridiculous when you use HEAT, a munition type that is confirmed in having a good effect against helicopters...not so in ArmA as it takes even more HEATs than Sabots.
